rayman you go round calling people out for being arrogant, having dodgy opinions and for disregarding stuff out of hand but you do exactly the same thing. Yes, I dislike this "vein" of hip-hop with it's shitty sounding percussion. Guess what, percussion is important to a hip hop beat and if it sounds like turd it will bring the rest of the track down with it, especially if it's a clacky, non-rhythmic rolling hi hat made on a computer where the producer didn't even bother to fiddle with the velocity on the different hits. It's fucking amateur to be honest.
Deal with it and move on. Or carry on lol'ing at people in a disdainful way. Either way it's not gonna make me change my opinion.

Disregard an entire vein of hip hop because you dont like 808 hi hats...........
The flows & beats also sound incredibly samey to me in this vein of hip-hop.
Most tracks sound rushed and play it safe, i get bored within 30 seconds of most of those 808 orientated beats (not necessarily because of the recycled sounds, normally the groove is boring as fuck as well).

I like a good deal of it tbh and i am extremely picky about drums and groove too. True, it lacks that mpc groove but i dont expect that when im listening to this. No hiphop producers ever cared about hi hat velocity to be fair haha, so yea the digitizing of production might have accidentally gotten rid of it but todays kids arent gonna stick to old technology for things like that.
I agree that lyrically it isnt exactly andre but its just some fun music. Would rather hear this than that macklemore shite which is supposedly more meaningful
