I don't think that there's much you could do about that unfortunately... although someone told me once that drops of olive oil in your ear could help sometimes, maybe you can try that?

In any case, if I were you I would definitely look into getting some proper earplugs now, just to make sure that it won't get any worse than it already is. Definitely don't attend a rave without earplugs from now on.

See, I asked the door staff for earplugs at System, and VIVEK (who was talking to one of them at the time) assured me that he'd built the rig himself and as such earplugs would not be necessary.
