I bought a shit mixer second hand for $40, lost the power adapter
ended up costing around $40 for a new one

It's probably just the polarity, get one of those universal ones with multiple voltages and polarities.

Make sure you can use a switchable adapter.
I have an amp that you can`t use a switchable adapter with.

try putting a face towel with harm water on it and let it soak, that should open the pores and make popping easier

Got punched in the face over nothing on the walk home. Was a shit punch but it's still gonna be a little sore tomorrow.
