Here is my most recent track, Salt Creep. It's a dubstep/techno heads down type of vibe.

Any feedback is appreciated.

jaydot: i would make your snare a bit more lively by adding a little bit of reverb, and something strange is going on with your hihats. check them, they are somehow sometimes out of time. nice vocals!

kontigobeats: nice game you're playing with the sidechaining! gives it a shitload of drive to your track! the vocals are soooo cheesy

@Sterling - Not my style, but I must say I like the bongoes. Got some great rhythm going on there ^_^

@vulvavibration - Interesting. I like the industrial sounding drums, but I'm not sure about the bass, seems a litle muddy to me. Have to turn bass right down on my sub to make out what's going on, otherwise nice vibes :)

Here's mine

I didnt listen to this on the studio computer- so i cant really tell whats going on with the sub. srry bout that- ill drop u feedback anyways tho :)

Nice intro- its simple, but it sounds pretty sick. nice1
1:02- i like when the.... not sure what it is, the hits that start comin in here, its a nice touch.
1:32- nice change in variation, liking the water drop stuff that starts comin in after this
3:47 out is a pretty good way to end the track ;)

Solid track- but like i said, i listened with shite speakers, so cant really comment on the sub. nice job tho!

Laundry Hustle

Made most of this one in one night on earphones - completed it the next day. Happy with the arrangement - bit of a dark roller for the dancefloor!

1000 Blisters

Did this on a friends computer while mine was dead.. This gets a good response - not sure about the second drop, so some opinions are appreciated :).

Feedback is welcomed - as I'm really starting to actually like my songs and a bit of criticism goes a long way ! :)

Like the pitch LFO @ 2:05 on the sub on the first one, it hits a heavy sweet spot as far as subs go because of the nice pitch movement. It's a nice clean track and I appreciate the clean minimal production, but I suppose I have been into mid range garish wobbles lately after such a long time away from them. Good job, regardless!

The first one @ 0:55 reminds me of LD - Woodblock (which is a song I'm quite fond of), so good job on that. Sub cleanly mixed and produced and would get tiring if not for the variation at 3:48. The wobble intensity on the sub is just right, solid track.

On the 2nd one:
0:26: liking the groove that's coming in at
1:46: the chromatic variation on the sub-bass gives it a lot of implication with a little movement, the notes are well chosen. you mentioned not being too sure about the 2nd drop -- you could possibly make the aforementioned chromatic variation a motif that you give more of a spotlight to or more development to in the 2nd drop. no matter how much i love dubstep for the lovely sound textures, phrase variation is at the heart of composition that makes my ears happy. it can be melodic and/or rhythmic and/or harmonic, but it's got to catch my ear's gaze.
1:49: the subdued + reverb claps sound mint, the arrangement at this point is wonderfully sublime and i think you should let that go on for longer or bring it back later on in the track--the texture you get there is really nice, and i found myself wishing it would last longer.

kontigobeats wrote:@deranger - this is something kinda different, nice laid back feel and that synth line is nice!
@ jaydot - again quite a nice laid back vibe, the vocals sound pretty good but i think the piano sounds a bit of out place sometimes

heres mine, a kinda garage track, some nice synths and vocal chops, pretty sure this is finished in terms of arrangement, not mixed yet, let me know what you think!

Like the lush sidechained pads, and the volume shaping on the sub--makes it feel like it moves away then back inwards, which is a nice aural effect. Overall, tastefully produced

Thanks heaps bro ! Means a lot !! Will maybe do a re-edit of the second drop on 1000 Blisters - maybe bring that bit you liked back in :) ? As for Woodblock - I'll take that as a compliment, haha, because I've never heard that track but I understand what you mean! Thanks man - do you have any tunes?

no critque needed just figured a few people here wouldn't see this otherwise

figured i would use this for my label or revisit it, but i went a bit too odd for myself to rework it anymore and figured might as well give it away rather than dwell on it. i still dig it myself, but not enough to revisit it.

whole tune on youtube if ya want a preview

full tune as a 320 to download

@thierry_le_dj: sine flu sounds good with the dark feel but the wubby bass gets a little boring. just my opinion anyways.

@collision: i fucking loved those drums, i liked sour, but then again jungle's my favorite time of music. howd you slow the drums down like that if you don't mind me asking.

@imperial: not really my style but i do like the distortedness and the drums

@sterling: i like it, the twighlight feel of it is very nice, the 4floor beat goes well with the song too

@vulvavibration: cool feel to it, kinda reminds me of if like disney's aladin made dubstep or something.
bass is too loud on my sub sometimes though.

here's one i made today, not quite finished, feels a little empty. would really appreciate feedback on this tune.
Soundcloud

here's another one i made like last week, not really mastered at all definitely have to do that but would appreciate feedback on this too and i'll return the favor
