nice and sensitive pad.. it's perfectly EQ'd. hats are nice.. it really fits in with the intro. the drop holds up to the great quality of the intro :) good choice of drums.. I like the synths and the pads... they sound like they are in a distance. but you should really cut down breakdown. intro length is fine, but more drop would be appriciated! good tune overall :)

#mindcontrol
groovy. turn up the volume though. make a more interesting drop, I'd think it would sound cool if you had some permanent pad or bassline... doesnt have to be aggressive but I think your track lacks presence. I think your work is quite interesting though! would be fun to hear the final product :)

#Grok
yeayeaaaa I like this kina of rude style in the intro :D I don't like britney spears at all... but this was cool as hell.. really unique production mate! I like the shouts or w/e they are... but please don't abuse them in the drop. I'd say every 4 bars or maybe every other bar for a short time. every 8 bars might just do the trick.

#goldorak
wow... nice tirbal drums/percs or what should I call them? :P I think the track is quite groovy... I liek when the piano drops in unexpected! but I'd might pump the tune with more melodical elements.. but if you think it's good the way you made it, I think you should stick with it!! ;) BTW! the nice indian(?) singing is wicked! you should bring it in the first drop too.

#aranha
I like the lead ALOT in the intro. but the melody is just too cheesey and lame.. :/ (sorry)! I really admire your mixing, since you are so new with producing! drop is not too cool :P try making it intersting by automating the lfo speed and add a filter to get some cool sounds to variate a bit! :) second drop is alot better then the first... you managed to get a anice structure of the song, I can imagine you will produce som bangers later on when you got more experience.

#hutyluty
hmm.. nice ideas for the intro, but to repetitive. you must fix that!!! dude... I think you can fix the track... but right now it's just giving me a headache. btw, I don't really know what you are trying accomplish? which genre? chill with the snare. use it 1/8 beat. add a melodic synth/lead or instrument too. I don't want to be rude or mean, I just want to help.. so don't take my feedback as something negative! :)

#weedcali
thx for feedback! :t:
sweet intro. a bit scary bellarpeggio there :P cool! you should put the drop after the synthrise (0.28-0.56), and use the second part of the intro for the breakdown or something. I like the beastly drop. sickly well made, it's like a mix of traditonal rusko/caspa bassline with a modern touch from new producers! keep it up mate :D best track so far! and I mean it ;)

#jak-a-tron
not my cup of tea... so it gets ard to give feedback. nice vibes and I like your work. cool snare, but decrease the reeverb with just a bit.

#nicorisine
nice beat. while equalizing that bassline, I would add some more freq at the 250hz knob. (the regular bass in parametric EQ). Nice ideas though... finish it off :D

FOR YOU WHO DIDN'T TRUST MY ETHICS :P
I know it sucks with people just dropping their tracks and expecting feedback without giving to others. I hope you are all satisfied with the feedback I gave and i would appriciate some on my track too. it's a work in progress, a dubstep/triphop remix of "Notorious B.I.G. - Party and Bullshit". I perosnally think this remix got a bit of potential and I really wanna finish it off nicely. I've been having some thoughts about it and I think I will add some more reeverb to fill in the presence in teh drop. might add some more sub to drop too since a few commented it. please give me some more feedback on this one! MADLY appriciated ;) alright, here it is!

good luck getting feedback lmao

I don't really undestand what you mean with that... I hope it's not negative, cause I really meant nothing bad with what I recently wrote!

No sorry, I totally didn't mean that to be negative at all.

All I'm saying is 90% of the time you leave feedback if you are lucky you might get at least one response

people have enough time to upload their tracks and post them here... yet they don't have enough to listen to 3 tunes and give some advice/tips whatever.

after being here for a lil over a year... kinda figured how things work a little ! (or maybe just everyone hates me :u: )

Iv been told it sounds like alota different tunes tbh! I guess its just a common bassline arrangement. I guess that's what you're talking about because that's the only thing that it vaguely coincides with! The sound is completely different also but i can hear where your coming from.
Yeah i only meant the configuration of your bassline :D

Superginger, on your BIG remix, i think when the bassline reaches the second bar (or whenever it gets higher up in the octaves), you should drop the Sub-bass an octave. the bass seems to lose presence when it gets that high up ;)

@mindcontrol - I'm not sure where exactly you're taking the track but I really like the jazzy feel. You definitely need to work on the "space" of your elements - it seems rather muddy at the moment. Cheers for the feedback :) I thikn you're right about the pads, probably a tad too loud, might knock them down a few db

@traffikz - haha thanks man. I tend to read and practise every single day. Hobby has bitten me hard ;)

@grok - cheers man. Always appreciate the suggestion but it bass/drop will probably stay as is :) I am however, working on trying to make it a little more surreal, so it should fit the bass and drop a bit better. Thanks! As for your track - I think removing some of the bass in your kicks for the reverb would sound better. The bass in the reverb makes it sound a bit muddy. Really like what you've done with the vocal samples - is that britnney spears?

@goldorak - thanks man! Currently playing with ideas for the main melody at the moment but at the same time don't want to saturate the tune in it as I rather like the space atm. Your track is really, really nice. The odd vocals thrown in introduce something different to the track which sits really nicely. I'd maybe tone down the volume on the bongos though, so more of the synths.etc. sit a little more forward in the mix?

@hutyluty - there is too much wet on that reverb imo. I would put the reverb on a send/return channel instead, so that it sounds a bit more dry in the intro. The vocal sample also gets a bit too droning when it's repeating so often.

@weedcali - was loving the bass until the formantness kicked in. Had such a deep, "off" (in a good way) feel, until that bass came in which I felt killed the vibe.

@jak-o-tron - thanks mate! :) liking your tune man, very deep. I think the snare should probably sit a bit higher in the mix, with maybe a clap over the top, but just my opinion :)

@nicorosone - could just be me but I think you need to break up that sub a bit more. It's constant and doesn't feel like it gels with the rest of the track.

@superginger - just don't post your own until you give feedback, easy that way :) Thanks for the feedback. Might just take your suggestion and extend the drop another 8 bars :) Really like the 8-bit synth intro you've got, and I don't know how - but you got what you got working with the lyrics. Good stuff :) The drop lost me though. Your beat needs more presence. I'd tone down the volume on your synths by 2-3 db, and up the db on your percussion. Your kick and snare especially need more presence. Your hats are shining through more than those two ;)

thanks to you and weedcali for nice feedback!
yea I gotta fix the drums.. which synths do you mean? the ones in the intro and the breakdown? I donät see why I should decrease the db on these :P

btw, for your track! I thought it would be nice to have a minibreakdown after the first drop and then a 2nd drop again.

Hey, I'm new to Dubstepforum, go by the name of Manslag, I'm 15 years old and live in Central London, been producing dubstep for the best part of a month now (only found out what a sub bass was 3 weeks ago :L), I'd like your opinion on a track I have in the workes titled. 'AnalDoomCreature', it's abit different to what you might normaly hear, but let me know what you think, feedback is greatly appreciated in order to improve this track for its final production, on a side note, it's not mastered.

Thanks in advance!

thanks for all the feedbacks, really helps to have your tips and oppinions.

ok now i've got a proper set up so i will give more feedback

@wub: nice glitchy touch. clean mixdown, i like the jungle touch. maybe starting the glitchy effects a bit earlier.

@weedcali: nice tune. the sub bass is too loud. you could do with a bit more of layering on the intro and maybe after also. maybe more variation on the intro.

@fatash/ strange thing, lol. the mixdown if a bit confuse. the bass and the loop need some eqing maybe.

@ogunslinger: heavy shit. i dont like the vocals though, but the whole tune is well done.

@superginger: Very big sound. The drop isn't exactly to my tastes and im not overly kean on the vocals, but its clearly well made with good arrangement. Infact, I'm really diggin this - its raw but fun. Good stuff.

@tripwire: Synth and bass need to brought up. Claps just don't work for me. I like the beepy synth, but it needs an accompaniment / lead line.

@manslag: ouch, this hurts. Sounds very messy at the moment. Good switch ups and little changes. Needs a lot of work on the mix.

Here's something I'm working on. Inspired by old prog breaks / house that I used to be obsessed with - but given a slight dub touch. I'm thinking of having a last breakdown into a breakbeat section to finish (finishing the way it began basically):

@bugksy: loving the house vibe in the tune!! sounds awesome!
@tripwire22: yeah sounds a lot like a Zomby track!! But thats never a bad thing :)

This is something i through together this evening. Took about an hour (im new to this whole production thing and still trying to get my head around the DAW lol)
Not one thing in this track is final and there is a severe lack of percussion. Constructive criticism very welcome as I am a beginner and could probably do with it lol
Bare in mind im new to this and only have very basic knowledge of most techniques (if any) so don't be TOO harsh.
