I just sent mine as soon as it was finished. I know when i start changing things it end ups being far from the original vibe and usually shit(er).


I'm really interested to see what kind of tracks everyones done!

I got mine in. I'm happy with the tune itself. The mastering of it is kind of a stab in the dark for me cuz I work on pretty shit speakers right now and I've only been producing for a couple of months. Hoping it hits right. I got to the point where I wanted to tweek on it some more but I felt like I was messing it up and kept frustrating myself.

and i feel u biscuit, ive been producin on shoddy headphones where only the left side works, so i basically only use my left ear for producing.

Track has just been sent! Mastering may be a tad fruity but as dubmatters said I like getting it DONE cus you loose the vibe and it becomes anodyne. The whole "horse is a camel designed by committee" thing. I'm keeping the track as a mainstay even after this comp though; I've kinda grown quite fond of it.

Really seriously, if this competition is organised well (which I'm sure sirius is capable of doing) then I don't see why it can't be a regular thing. I've really enjoyed this y'know. Top marks go out to sirius for the idea!

Yeah I have a pair of headphones where the right only intermittently works heh. I only use that though for when I've got the itch to be working on stuff but there is loud or chaos going on and I need to kind of tune it out ya know? Once I get on a little better financial ground I'm gonna start saving up for some nicer equipment I think. It'll be good for me one way or the other because even if nobody like me tunes I like making them and I missed making tunes for a long while after my old band split up.

On the mastering thing though I haven't worried a ton about it because I know I'm not ready to start offering things up for release or get them played out or anything. I want my stuff to sound good, but I just haven't worried about getting like a pro sound just yet because I'm still learning to play with synths and trying to teach myself about sound design and stuff more first since it's all pretty new to me. I tried to worry about the EQ and stuff for this thing mainly so I can just have some experience trying to do it hands on cuz I learn best that way. It's probably gonna sound not great still though but y'know, I'm a n00ber like I said.

yeah I just bin tryna figure out the process as I go along,
the way to get shit started.... just do it then, without thinking & work the details out as ya go!

I won't fully understand the bugs till this is over like!

Everyone needs to be aware of this, cus I'm not gonna lie, I would have completely forgotten to do it.

I don't really get it...so we are mena drop our tracks in your soundcloud dropbox? Won't that mean that everyone knows who each entry is by??
