Everyone has their heads deeply in their laptops. Which to me completely contradicts the idea of going and sitting in a coffee shop. Why leave the house if you're gonna do exactly the same thing? And have to put on clothes. I don't understand those people.

you need to actually properly meet them, not just hang around in public cos then you seriously are just "prowling" and your motivation probably won't drive you.
If you join some kind of local social thing (dunno, book clubs or summat?) then you might actually meet someone worth getting to know who will actually give you the motivation to do something about it
