rachel maddow has been chattin some serious shit about this documentary she did called "Why We Did It," airing 9pm eastern US time on msnbc. from the way she's framing it tonight, it looks like it's really gonna make a difference in the way we view at the iraq war. looks like it could make a pretty big difference in the way the media frames the situation in ukraine, and as we've all seen, the president's actions are very strongly influenced by the media's opinion, so if you're interested in the ukraine thing i would prolly check that out.

I watch everything m8.

During weekday evenings if i'm home i mainly just produce or do hw with msnbc, fox, cnn, and comedy central on in the background. I like to have background noise while I work.

Specifically

8: O'Reilley/Hayes
9: Maddow
10: Hannity
11: Stewart/Colbert/O'Reilley/Hayes

with CNN sprinkled in occasionally

@ehbrums: seems like it'll be something substantial though. your cynicism is too cliche.

It'll be nothing new, and won't change my opinion of the military

Rachel Maddow is imo the best investigative journalist on primetime cable and I wouldn't write it off as 'nothing new.' She wouldn't promote it so strongly if it was nothing new. Have you heard the way she's talked about it?

She's too credible to do something like that. She would look pretty unprofessional if it was nothing new the way she's been talking about it.

It might be "oil, money" stuff but with actual substance. Maybe video tape of someone admitting the sole purpose was oil, money? idk

Yeah i can't imgaine US media would ever have the motivation to mislead anyone -r-

lol why
cos its interesting. and its about entertainment too. if i wanted dry boring news i'd watch cbs but there is definitely an entertainment factor. i mean it's not like i watch 4 hours straight of tv i maybe get 30 minutes of actual watching time out of those 4 hours.

or wait. just noticed you removed maddow. why just the 8 and 10 hours?

???????????????????

it's primetime.

and it's on cable....

the people that work for brian williams or david gregory probably have better investigative journalists tbh. even steve kornancki might be better at investigative journalism than maddow but he's not primetime.

media does sometimes lie and they do a lot of rinse & repeating, but that doesn't mean they never reveal any new or truthful information. and it doesn't mean that all the people who watch it are blind sheeple.
