Does anyone know Alejandro Jodorowsky - His films are quite amazing..I thing my favorite is El Topo..

This is a must see director - He addresses things in a way that I have never seen before on film, and he did this 5 decades ago..

My question is - I wonder why these films didn't create a sort of whole genre of imitators, or genre of films that use it as a point of departure?

Are they not really as interesting or groundbreaking as I perceive them to be?

*taps Parsons as I think he may appreciate them especially - but not especially more than anyone else really..any follower of the cthulus' might dig on.

So I just spent all day getting Juno and just finished watching it.

I thought it was fucking hilarious, reallllllllly great humor, like Ghost World/ The Good Girl (Two amazing films, watch them if you ain't)

Maybe its just Ellen Page, I think I have a thing for her

Speaking of Brit-flicks I have never seen Human Traffic, anyone know if its floating around to stream online? (Via PM obviously)

awesome almodovar bizness featuring javier bardem
Extremely, extremely late, but hell yeah, that is a good film. Although i couldn't help thinking the main character (watched it so long ago, have forgotten his name) was a bit of a douche.

Almodovar in general is the shit.

Out of interest has anyone seen Cronos by Guillermo del Toro? Watched that a few months ago, was really impressed, although the seemingly arbitrary spanish/english switches did my head in a bit. I love how Ron Perlman is playing a mexican who says about 3 words in spanish the whole time, most of them being "carajo", the rest all english with a US accent

Wow... just, wow.

Probably the MOST fucked up, confusing, daunting film I've ever watched

and I LOVED IT!

The editing is AMAZING, the acting was perfect and some of the scenes make you think....."Wow, this isn't a true story but I bet this shit goes on"

I was never really exposed to British comedy until a few years ago, and I like how dry and subtle it can be. Does anyone know of any other similar films you would recommend?

I watch a lot of movies, haven't posted in here yet.. haven't seen anything worth posting about to be fair.

But I've just watched Into the Wild (2007) and I really enjoyed it. Was a bit sad in places, being a true story and all made it a bit more prominent.

Good watch, I recommend it.
