If you think Nero's good then so be it. I LOVE the drop on "End of the World". I just wish it went somewhere else at some point,

I think the problem with a lot of the stuff people call midrange cack is the lack of inner-diversity songwise. Dirtyness has a great effect on short-impact but I think if it goes on too long it gets fatiguing fast. I tend start thinking about changing the song @ 1min:30secs for most of it.
Isnt Nero two guys?...............

[Edit] Sorry, Im being a nit picking twat  Ignore me Im tired and alittle bit drunk.....

Akira Kiteshi, Reso, 501, Nero, Broken Note (more like dubcore lol), Emalkay, The Others, Almost all of Deep Medi & the list goes on.
I think Akira Kiteshi & Reso both bring something new to the scene. i keep getting suprised by the wall of sounds they produce.
It's a big wall of sounds but everything sounds in perfect harmony. Now that's mixing / production skill imho. Altough it isn't always
straight up dubstep but hey what is " straight up dubstep" ?

Either the Widdler or Plastician, though I might go with Wid since Froggy Style is fucking sick.

Reso for his drums
Headhunter for his bass
Burial for his atmos and weird percussion, and emotion obviously
But my vote for best producer, even tho they're fringe dubstep is Mount Kimbie. Their sounds are next level; as evocative as Burial. But they're in their own league in terms of arrangement. They're amazingly skilled at changing up the pattern completely without losing the song idea, like often in a 4 minute track they will have 3 noticeable change-ups which are logical and "tell a story". I think of 'William' as a sort of manifesto piece for this.

i have to say like reso is fuckin amazin man. mint tunes and mint production, benga has some really genre defining stuff, just like skream. skream can just do mint banging dubstep and mint minimal and dubby stuff, it's lush. 16bit make some class tunes but some of the production can sometimes sound a bit too dirty and chunky and muffled with low end. Headhunter's production is so good, anyone heard that new remix of "a new error" by moderat? called "headhunter's answr error remix" it's so lush man. kode9 makes some sweet tunes, pinch can be absolutely mint, joker's just class. komonazmuk's production isn't always that great but the tunes are mint. appleblim, peverelist, trg, 2562, martyn, flying lotus etc. raffertie makes some mental stuff like haha he's mint. zomby's cool like but he sounds like he's a knob but you know, makes cool tunes. if i was gonna pick one it'd have to be reso tho i think
