It might not be intended as a genre name, but it's definitely become one.

When someone on here says 130, most people on here (dunno about wider society, don't really discuss music much outside of this place) know that you're talking about vaguely dubstep inspired garage/grime of a darker nature.

Exactly the same thing happened with dungeon. People were far too bothered, kept bringing the name up in conversations about how stupid it was and unintentionally spreading the word, but in the end, everybody knew what dungeon was.

Like it or not, it's just how it's happened.

Obviously if you're not feeling the press release or the fuckin photo or samples of road MCs by people who aren't on road thats your place to decide but ffs, its not impossible to just live and let live and maybe even show some respect to the people who contribute to this music.

Wether it's a forum and should be a place for "discussion" is besides the point. 90% of that shit isn't adding anything positive so it's completely unnecessary.

The almighty has spoken from here on hence forth 130 shall no longer be known as 130.

It shall be known as the genre with no genre based on an idea and experimentation.

First an fore most I couldn't give two shits and secondly, it's about as experimental as the next 2bob pop tune.

It's every genre associated with dubstep slowed down. It's not exactly ground breaking and IMO mostly very dull.

There! I've spoken now, you lot do one. :D

There's plenty of experimentation in the scene man, c'mon.

Breakstep just slowed down jungle then? Dubstep just slowed down jump up? Garage just slowed down Speed Garage? Plenty of stuff you could be wilfully ignorant about and say "x is just a slowed down version of y". It's also a lot, lot less dull than a lot of scenes at the moment.

Couldn't give 2 shits, and comes into a discussion to make a lengthy post about the topic just to prove it
