Specimen-yarp, Love the bouncy feel of it. The Hi hats fit it perfectly. I didnt feel like the sub was making it through the mix very well. the kick sounds like its interfering with the bass, did you sidechain it? The synth arpeggio that plays throuout the whole song might need to be turned down a tad. try to add some variations to it to keep it not so repetative. good work man
United fruits, Love the track and the LFO pattern on the wobs. Theres a click near the endof every first bar... is this on purpose to give it a vinyl kinda sound or is it a problem with your sounds? other than that, I love the vibe of this track.
raincoatdisaster, I love the intro. I had such a good feel for the track but when the bass dropped, I didnt feel it fits the track exactly. Not quite sure how to explain.... lol. wwhat DAW do you use?
I made a little improvement. let me know what you think.

@norcodubstep- you definitely have this one sounding fat man, i'm diggin the melody you have going. i dont really have anything bad to say about the mix, its pretty good as far as i can tell
@raincoatdisaster- nice job i like the tune so far. maybe turn down the tamb (or hi hat) in the intro just a bit it seems to be standing out just a little too much? but once the drop comes everything is sounding good
@infestedpasta- i like what your doing but your right it is a little mono toned...try adding a synth or something a couple octaves higher maybe?
Here's my current wip. I'm not done with it yet but let me know what you think especially with the mix. I took a break from producing for a while and this is the first tune i've been working on in a couple of months. Any and all feedback is appreciated

@bryan42690 like the melody sound but maybe just bring some more movement into it by adding a filter or some melodic changes sometimes, like in the end part where you go up with it. other than that it has a nice feeling to it.
@weedcali i love this tune, think i said it earlier but that arppegiator is so great only thing i could think of is bring it more in the front towards the end if this is possible with the synth, like filter up or something?
@hero maybe add a little bit reverb to the midrange bass and compress it a little bit more. maybe its just soundcloud but somehow it feels like somethings is fighting at the lower part of the tune maybe bassdrum and sub or sub and midrange?
@bassix fucking nice haha everything fits nicely maybe just bring the snare up a tad more, love the drumroll
got two wip at the moment hope i´m not spamming to much

Bring that snare out! Make it louder, EQ it and bring up the low end.

@Hero Nice. Loving the breakdown, make the sub-bass a bit louder, otherwise, great tune, mate.
@BudSpectorton Very nice track (Schnurbakka). Loving the way the bass just jumps about, in the sense it sounds hyperactive, or on crack.
@Bryan42690 Nice track, does sound a bit repetitive, nonetheless, I enjoyed it.
Here's my WIP. What can be changed? Added? Etc.

It's actually called "Sunday Morning". I just realised that Monday morning's are the worst. Hangovers, work, school. Etc.

@ MrAural -
I'm digging the vibe. Just add a sine and move it. Keep it chill.
@NorCo
Downloaded it. Quality tune. Maybe bring up the snare and vary the kick a bit
My productions have been ADD so, I tossed this cleanstep together. Nothing major done on EQ, just looking for feedback to take this somewhere or scrap it. No need to tell me the break blows

Weedcall - This is awesome! I love the clap sounds and the sub. Really nice vibes on this one. The only things I'd change is the little "brap" vocal sample, it kinda ruins the mood for me, and the panning on the wobble, it seems a little too the right, which gets annoying after a while. Awesome song otherwise.
Bud -
1st one - Nice bass sounds, I really like the wet quality they have, like they're coming out of somethings mouth

It would really benefit from an intro that wasn't just the wobble sounds though, it feels more like a sound-design showcase than a song right now. The mix is great, good job on that, everything really clear and has it's own little spot.
2nd one - I wish this one had a bit more of an intro too, but I fucking love what's there. Really dark sounds, you hit the whole dungeon thing right on the head. The mix is really good again, although maybe a little muddiness in the lower mids.
Here's one I started a couple hours ago. It's pretty different from what I usually do, but I've been listening to lots of older Dubstep and wanted to try my hand at that kinda vibe. I know the mix is really shitty, I'm still trying to figure out how to do stuff like that in Reason, so any pointers on mixing in Reason would be awesome.

Alright yall, I just made a new soundcloud recently for the new stuff i've been making so feel free to follow me and show some love or maybe drop a comment if you like what you hear
@Hero, Diggin the intro, i love the sidechain pulsey feeling. Also really digging the old school style. Overall its a pretty good mixdown. I do hear a few unwanted frequencies in there though and it could be a little bit louder. I dropped you a comment too.
@Jetpack, i like what your trying to do. i love the glitch-hop feel to it. I also like your use of silence.
@Hudson, i definitely feel what your trying to do, and i like it. love the old dub vibe. My only criticism is to work on the overall mix and maybe boost the mids a little bit? Anyways, i like the track man, it makes me feel like i'm in Japan or something

BudSpencerton, first track. I like the bass synth but I think it should come down a bit with the sub coming up a bit. I like the vocal samples in it. The change-ups are fitting. second track. I like the odd drums, very unique. has a very nice chill aspect to it. all the new synths and other elements that come in do agood job of keeping the song interesting. nice work
Hudson, Love the intro. the hihats and filtered drums that come in are very nice. I like the bass synths! very grimey yet not too overpowering. perfect. has a nice flow.

weedcali - Damn, I like where this is going. Love the atmosphere. At 1:20 you had me hooked. All the sounds are dope. I would work on the kick and make it punchier for the main parts of the song. I think the drops will stand out a bit more and it will give the song a heavier feel.
bryan42690 - The levels sound good. I'm not really sold on some of the synths/samples you are using. The stuff that comes on after 1:00 sounds kinda crude. All of your pads n atmospheric sounds are tight though. The composition could use a bit of work. Progressions don't sound natural if all you are doing is adding more sounds to the mix. What you have to do is make a progression within the sound you are actually using. Either by doing it through composing a melody, relying on rhythm or things like pitch, cutoff and effects automations. Automation is a must!!!!!!!
Hero - Continue what you are doing! Your composition is spot on. Just gotta train your ear more to get those sounds proper. Like one of the comments said, I recommend the same, step up your synthesis and you're set! Get into resampling and wavetable synthesis if you haven't already.
BudSpencertron -
schnurrbacka - Sounds loud, balanced n heavy. Good stuff. The only recommendation I can make is to duplicate the synth you are using and play around with the ADSR envelope to get the 1/2 1/4 and 1/8 wobs to match with key presses. If you ever want to break up the pace and give the song a bit of breathing room you can use these.
brummelbart blume - I like the atmosphere in the track. The drums are sounding clean dude, sick percs!
Mr. Aural - Clean sine sub bass with a bit of slide. Turn snare down and layer it with a another snare that complements it well. Chill TUNE!!!!
jetpack - Its a good tune, but its missing something. Maybe that's why you're not sure whether to scrap it or not. Cant really recommend much as it would tweak the vibe of the song. Maybe recompose it? This is tuff one for me, sorry bro!
hudson - Definitely capturing that dubstep sound. Love the vibe. I would recommend breaking up the drum pattern sometimes. Make it progress through 16 bars. Maybe have some extended parts with just Kick, Snare (on beat) to give it that original heavy feel. Otherwise just get deeper into synthesis and train your ear. Creating nice dirty n heavy synths that sound clean and dont carry nasty artifacts takes a lot of work and thats the only way to make your tracks sound LOOUUDDD!!!
Here is my WIP. Any recommendations?

thanks for feedback everyone
@centurysam maybe i am plain stupid but i dont get the tip one hundret percent, do you mean like a breathing in and out kindy vibe like synth coming in slowly and breathing out with release?

The wobble synth in your track plays from drop to finish. There is never any breathing room for any other instruments to come through. If you try to add new elements to the track it might be difficult because your main wobble takes up a lot of space in the track (Im talking about composition btw). By creating the additional wob synths you can break up your lead wobble with shorter stabs and still leave room in between those (breathing room). This is also a good break for the listener. Dubstep is heavy so you dont want the listeners ears to get fatigued. The quick wobbles can also be slightly tweaked to give them a different sound to complement but at the same time progress the lead wobble nicely. Changing the cutoff on your LP filter just slightly is a good way to start.
Also, if you wanted to you can include drum breaks to create room. Try bringing the wobbles in on the snare (2nd beat) instead of the kick (1st beat) in the first bar of a new 16. Keep in mind these are all ideas and tips, I dont want you to change the sound of your track, its ill so far.

@CenturySam
My song is only the bass and drums so far. I'll add glitching and pads out the ass. Just wanted feedback on the line so far.
As for your tune...
Big sound and 8 bit fury. I would love to see you drag out those last "wob wob wob"s (like 1:09) over the bar line and cut and drop the drums at that time. Nasty drops could be all over this.

@centurysam - heavy tune man, i enjoyed it. one thing is that your "yoi's" seem to be pretty close in frequency to the background synth sound you have going on, kind of drowns both sounds out a bit. obviously something for the mixing stage, really the only thing i can see that needs fixing.
@yoitsfrankd - maddd aliens. pretty sweet, i feel the alien attack vibe for sure. i think bringing the melody from the beginning back in while the bass is doing its thing would be somethin to try as long as it wouldn't clutter the spectrum too much
@MrAural - super chilled out groove you've started, maybe add some shuffley lazy feeling hats and a clean sub with some volume movement and you've got a nice sunday morning tune imo.
here's my wip. creative juice for the night ran out right around the break (pretty obviously) so i'm really interested in any thoughts about a nice break and possibly how to keep it interesting thereafter (any feedback would be greatly appreciated though)

How do you suggest I do that? Layer another kick with it? EQ the mid/high?

@weedcali i love this, so chill, especially the nice subtle grit with the sub and that sound is sick at 2:20 not much criticism here! sounds perfect to me.
@bryan i say shorten the intro to half of what it is, it just got repetitive, i like the voice chant sound thing at the drop though, only thing i would try is to incorporate some deeper sub bass in the drop, and all the beeping noises arent really adding anything imo before the electricity sounds, other than just that sold track man! nice solid drums.
@hero i dont see any feedback form you, so limited feedback from me. the wobble stands out too much and hides the drums behind it.
@mr aural intro sounds great, oh wait..this is the whole thing lol i like how it sounds very atmospheric for sure. only thing i would say is those 808 toms or w/e they are, try to make them more interesting make them sound distant with some long verb on them or something. just to add some spice.
@jetpack its just missing sub bass. just please lose that rising synth before the drop, the one that every modern day dirty south producer uses lol. i like the drum percussion things that roll down. only thing i would say is add some high hats to keep the beat goin.
@wubdubwubwhateverthefuckyournameis theres rules: read em
@drooka turn up that snare! i can barely here it, especially in a tune as deep as this, it should be like....POP! unless thats the feel u were goin for, ohter than that all the nice delayed atmospheric noises are top notch!!
