New to the forums here.
But my name is Aaron Pena i'm from the states, San Antonio, Texas to be exact (strange place to be into any sort of electronic music).
I recently got into dubstep after seeing a live performance by 12th Planet at a rave in the nearby city of Austin, Texas.
I started out working on trance back in about 2002 and about two years ago moved to Drum & Bass. The past few months i've been experimenting Dubstep and trying to get a feel for it.
My influences are more of the newer type of Dubstep, like Riskotheque, Bar 9, 501, Datsik, Downlink, Twist, Skream, etc.
Well I have finished my first Dubstep track and here is the youtube video upload.
I'm not even sure it's what you guys would consider real Dubstep, you guys are probably much more experienced with the Dubstep sound than I am,
but here we go.

this is amazing for a first attempt, sounds very professional

i'm guessing fruity loops is your daw?

I like the filters that you have on the bass which add some variation, but i feel it could have done with a bit more of a change, like a complete change in direction
it seems like one very huge build up

eerie synths really blend the track well together

The drums are great aswell, the kick isn't too muffled by the sub, although i think the sub could have been a bit louder...

yeah and welcome to the dubstep forum!

p.s. hate to break it to you but i reckon people may rip the shit out your avatar

thats most likely what it is. I don't think I've heard another tune recently that's similar to this.
