Yeah that was a pretty interesting one. His Uplift books are one of my favourite series.

i've just been reading a crapload of terry pratchett recently, i really should gotten into discworld years ago.

Nope. I just got that, not read it yet. Any good?

The Uplift saga is 6 books: Sundiver, Startide Rising, The Uplift War, Brightness Reef, Infinity's Shore, Heaven's Reach. It's split into 2 trilogies. The first one's relatively serious but I found much hilarity in the other 5. Only go for it if you do not have a dislike for sentient chimpanzees and dolphins, and enjoy random alien races.

Earth is pretty cool, from what i remember about it its pretty run of the mill in terms of havin to save the earth kinda thing, but i like the extra level of science in it, however ridiculous it gets!

used to read the forgotten realms, crimson shadow, icewind dale books... massive as.
Im lucky if I read a book nowadays... unless its just for reference like.

at the mo im reading about Spacial acoustics & Modern recording techniques...
oh & cant forget the audio engineers handbook!
