very disappointed! I couldnt even bring myself to stick around for FaltyDL :( I've never seen so many people walk out of Dubwar at 1:30am. still a major Dubwar supporter and I'm hoping it was just an off night.

I guess that would be me. no disrespect to anyone who spun lastnight, but it wasn't what I had expected. I was really amped to see Falty. I have no doubts he killed it... maybe next time?

yeah admittedly slott did a very different thing than the usual
which i personally enjoyed but i could see how some heads might have been surprised or put off
(some of it reminded me of intentionally-offbeat gescom, other older sampler-glitch from skam records)
went to more standard dubstep bizness toward the end of his set and faltydl and ripley continued what became a wicked night, early morning

wow, i'm surprised so many people didn't "like" mike's set, imho he did a fantastic set, no one plays this music around here so hearing it live was a great experience. alex's set was awesome as always, Drew's set just killed me, no comments there, and as for the Ripley, she just finished me off and thanks for play juke. The night was awesome keep it going!

when I got there at two am, I saw a sea of cheering faces and FaltyDL killin it with a unique mix of sounds and beats. Classic tunes mixed with his own productions, and everyone looked super-happy. Maybe all the frowny faces had left by then?

While I was playing, I had the most fun I've had in quite a while! thanks everyone!

Also, there was no shortage of sweaty dancing folks barreling around the dancefloor. People demanded four rewinds, folks were hollering "i love you" at the dj booth, and rollicking crowd got down to chipdubcrunkbootyjukestep

it was "not what i expected" either, in fact I think most of what I played was not what anyone expected but man was it fun!

big ups to Dub War and I hope to come back soon..

sorry to hear that some people were disappointed by what they heard but it sure looked and sounded like everyone was having a great time.

big up to the NYC producers bringing their own style to the dance!! and Ripley showing us how S.F. gets down! thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed it.

next month we're back in full force. Joe Nice, Dave Q, and Juakali back inna the place, with PINCH and MARY ANNE HOBBS!! 9/18. will be bananas!!

I really hope nobody took offense to my post. I've been a major supporter in the nyc dubstep scene and a promoter in the nyc underground music scene. I would never try to take anything away from what you guys do. I still have major respect for the promoters and artists that contributed that night. it was a personal opinion and hope that we can all remain good buddies :)
