yeh can imagine the excitement checking the charts and waiting for the sound clips to load on my mum;s dial up PC - and then some tracks wouldn't have audio! who'd have thought it! big apple records and fucking uptown forum! remember Logan on there winding up everyone... now look at him !
true say man. bringing back memories. all the clips were in realplayer, and those were the days when realplayer was a nightmare; full of spyware, and generally the biggest waste experience ever. they used to have a special side section of the site called "BAM " or something like that. i remember that because i bought the first 4 big apple 12"s (001-004) for £20 total. i think it was called the "4 at a fiver" special or something. don't remember.

Imagine....£20 pounds!!! now those 12"s go for £80 each on discogs. 12"s were £6.99 in those days. back when £7 pounds took you a long way in a record shop! :)

£7 pounds gets you maybe a ribena box and a handshake now. LOL.

out to those that remember! someone has to, right? :)

fascinating to think that was all going in as i walked past that shop....i should have gone in but didn't know a huge amount about the scene at the time....i first went in in either 05 or 06 and it had changed to mixing by then

i was more interested in collecting rephlex, warp & planet mu releases lol as well as buying tons of d&b from wax city and swag....

LOL,yeah right t!Fuck knows how i got into fwd at such a young age,da security never gave 2 fucks bk then, but then what was so great aswell was yunx was only a year older than me at da time, and skream, benga and d1 was all a year or 2 younger than me and we were no where near 18 then, thats what makes the dubstep scene that extra bit so special!

I owe alot 2 hatch and big apple records, hatch gave me the very first fwd flyer and said 2 me in exact words ''this is the place u need 2 be hen, dubplates galore'' that changed my fucking life!
