'Glass' is undoubtedly my favorite song. Dubstep varies in sound from artist to artist. With that said, this album steps beyond; into a realm of it own.

I agree, Spaceape is an integral part of the album. Can't really make up my mind about the vocal processing though, I tend to prefer the tracks with 'raw' vocals.
Hoping that I'll get to see both him and Kode 9 again at some point in the near future...it's been a long time.

Just got this in the post today, absolutely stunning. Kode 9 is a fucking master on the buttons, and Spaceape holds down the vocals big time, as has been said already in the this thread the man writes poetry.

As Prancehall wrote in his review "an MC who is more William S Burroughs than he is Wiley".
For the record Portal is my favourite track on the album.

loved him from hearing him on the dubstep allstars with kode 9...
Bought the Kode 9 and Space Ape tune 'Curious' at the weekend...anyone else feelin this? i love the actual track, and space's lyrics are wicked... so intriuging...
'step into the rhythm of a head on collision,
corrosion leaves scars pon the inside...
hands are tied, eyes open wide,
difficulties that come with time....
coloured by beauty, the sun, the sea,
never once did you think this can happen to me...
always trying to master the slave...
now i look to save the slave in me...
in memories, the pressures are lifted, come again from born
in another form...
restriced by restraint.... marked clearly by an absent stain.
in desperate times, we pay a price.. then gasp and scream as them twist the knife...
open up to the physical, the cracks was there, in need of repair....but you left them fe fend for themselves...
maybe just maybe we should tell you
maybe just maybe we can feel you,
maybe just maybe we can save you,
maybe just maybe we will kill you
THATS FUCKIN DEEP!!!!
Loooooveeeee that track.
the first time i heard it i replayed it about 20 times

the first dubstep cd i bought was allstars 3 and at first i thought it was annoying having his vocals over the tunes, but now i think they really complement the music. i reckon his voice goes better with kode 9's tunes then other tracks tho

Yeah, it's a wicked record. Have you tried mixin it with Kalawanji? Sounds sick. The Kode9 tune really holds its own against the hugeness of Kalawanji.
Portal on the other side is a big tune n all. Check the progression: Benny Ill's Fat Larry's Skank -> Kode9 remix -> Portal. What a journey?!

that could be down to me, my dry mic wasnt workin so space had to use the delayed mic and although its good for saying the odd piece , continous speach into it is a bit garbled.....

Arhh..
It sounded like one of them auction shops in croydon withh the bloke screaming into a £5 Karaoke machine...
Bar that mate, i'm still not convinced of space apes approach & technic...
I can not listen to the album & the burial track with space ape on it is always skipped... I don know 'Horse's for course's' i guess....
All that said... I down with your M.C'ing ... You say it when it needs to be said mate...

I don't know having not spoken to the guy but, doesn't he put that accent on? Also aren't the vocals well treated by kode. They sound slowed down in some tracks and speeded up in others (nine samurai) or is that not space ape?

I dont know him either or where he comes from..?
But thats exactly what i think..
Its the accent thing.... It grates on me & sounds a little to rehersed...
Not natural...
ahh i dont know i dont want to dis the dude i'm sure he's talented..
And he keeps the kids happy...
But I question the sincerity in the delivery...
I like to listen to benjamin zephania.. His delivery is point, In his Birmingham accent...
