Finish copy promo. “Tes La Rok kicks off the year for his Noppa label with a versatile four track EP from up & coming producer Desto. ‘Wizard Of Wor’ discharges concentrated SID-chip energy and mutant rhythm syncopations with ruthless sub-bass and a side order of pixelated gangster vibes. ‘Gremlinz’ ventures into the realm of 8-bit monsters fusing hiphop and grime aesthetics with chippy Commodore 64 bleeps and analogue synths for a definite dancefloor weapon. On the flipside, ‘Dark Matter’ creeps in with techy stabs, dubstep rhythmics and ice cold atmospheres. To top it off, the much-anticipated ‘Cold (refix)’ delves into the dark and atmospheric side of future garage before unleashing lush melodies from the frozen streets of Helsinki.
