My old man, before he married my Thai mother, was a Mod with foxtails and a thousand mirrors on his bike, something a bit like this, hahaha. It was him who got me into bikes but also told me I could never have one - he nearly killed himself and my mother a few times so...

Old Bikes look a hell of a lot cooler. I guess with modern bikes it's all about reducing weight and being aero dynamic. Whereas in the past they just had to look cool.

Gorgeous ^^^
It's nothing to do with patriotism but I do think that British classic sports cars and bikes are amongst the most sexiest objects of engineering and design. I think you're right, it's a lost age. This is in the fifties and sixties, post war Britain, when flying was still cool and chicks wore tights with a hem up the back. Sexy and cool was much simplier and a clear cut ethos, today it has no soul, it's primary purpose is to make it cheap and sell it fast to the most people.
Anyway, BSA 650 lightning.
