I chose Lewes Court as my first choice, Brighthelm as my second and Park Village as third, was kinda hard picking when i aint actually seen the places :? Had to balance between price and having a decent room. I've not been in uni halls for two years, been in a private flat (with a massive room) for the last two so i hope i can deal with it

I don't know anyone down there so need to make sure this gets bumped again at start of term

@Dodger Man: I did MI too, was a good course!
East Slope did look cool, only thing i wasn't keen on was the tiny rooms! Won't say no to those parties though :D

When I first got to brighton there was mainly just brostep, but the amount of nights that play top quality dubstep/ 2step/ garage/ house/ etc! Vagabondz, Supercharged, Akakaroar, Deadly Rythm, Superdubpressure, SimplyVinyl

Cacth me at Vagabondz 29/04 @ Digital, with ARTFUL DODGER headlining!!!! Sukh Knight, and Stenchman as well as P Money & Scandalous Unltd.

Soooooo! It turns out i did half decent in my exams, so i'm moving to Brighton in 6 weeks!
Moving into Lewes Court at Sussex Uni, exciting times!
From what i've read here, it seems like there's a fair good mix of different dubstep nights going on. Glasgow has a good varied scene, so i'd hate to just be going to wobble nights every weekend, but it looks like there's a mix of stuff happnin.
Just out of interest... who's played in Brighton the past month or so??

Ive played there but not for a little while, need to get back on it ! Been living back with my parents for the last 7 weeks because our halls tenancy ran out, moving in to the house a week today ! You'll love it down there man it has SO many decent nights although sadly i dont think superdub pressure is still going :(

I think superdubpressure is still going? I think the night a few months ago with Addison Groove and Oneman was a superdubpressure?

i've seen James Blake, Flylo, Joy Oribison and Appleblim all recently - the local talent is on some shit too, quite a few folks are heading in a 2step/futuregarage direction. Oh, and The Bug w/Flowdan and Digital Mistykz next weekend...

I've got a mate who stayts in Brighthelm and it's pretty good, he has a big house with communal living room and kitchen which is cool, everytime I've been down to see him that's been really good cos there are always loads of people round to hang out with, plus it's near the shop which is good for when you're high and need food quick.

East Slope is good for parties but I found most of the people living there fucking lame when I was there, all guys who are well new to taking drugs so just do K all day everyday and all they ever talk about is drugs, which gets really really boring after a while. Apparantly park village is really boring, sorry to break it to you mate!

I might be going Brighton Uni if I dont get into manchester, and cus it's my back up I wont be able to get halls of accomodation. So if anyone else is going and wants to get a house/flat share going on, give me a nod. I know fuck all about it.

Moving back down tomoro to our new house right in the middle of town. So exited. We're all brighton students tho :p
