also on the burial debate - i think his music is as beautiful as anything that ive heard across any genre and the emotions that he portrays is amazing. however i can see that it is a. unaccessible music and b. is arguably not dubstep. i personally dont think of it as dubstep, though some tracks are obviously more dubstep than anything else. i think putting a label on burial does him a massive disservice.

why does every track have to have a drop?! cant you just sit and enjoy pure vibes without feeling that if you dont hear a sample of a cockney thug shouting "fackkk off!" and a bassline going "oww oww wobbawobbawobbawobba" your being cheated of your time? Anyone with Massive can make an LFO wobble at 2/12 of a bar, only Burial can create atmoshere like that.

Yes yes yes. Love most their stuff. Ipod broke. Lost all of it. Forgot about them. Going to listen to it all now as I do my work.

Ok if poeple don't like these posts I do apologise. Hadn't seen others and just still happy when it gets played...especially as the dubstep that is so massively famous isn't really what im into...

I am actually a massive IDM fan. Lstened to it most of 2005 along with grime which is what led me to dubstep. I would agree actually that burial could be classed as IDM...but its a lot more dubstep. The garagey undertones are a lot more prominent than IDM.

kp mate, chill. I will never dislike anyone for their music tastes as its very close minded and prejudice. just dont understand the racist...

 at the drop thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1mdXUR4REE check out the comments on the next page and some guy says 'that was fuckin well weird...i was expecting it to drop somewhere and be fuckin mental! ' I laughed so hard.

I am a lover of irony, and many of you guys are "it". You see, many people here pitch a fit when artists dont make something different, and declare it all sounds the same. The minute someone makes something that even sounds remotely different, someone jumps forward and declares it "not dubstep".

Welcome to your beloved genre of music sounding the same for the rest of its existance, because to not do so means its not part of the genre, and thus cant wear the label. Cant have your cake and eat it too on this one. You either have to accept different sounding music into the fold, or stop bitching about everything sounding the same.

I like to think of burial as deconstructed-mutilated-dub-dark-garage, otherwise known as dubstep...
