Some more Dirty Chopsticks, some people spitting some bars and then some mad colours are gonna be needed.

the tits wrote:"don't bootleg it" haha... strange req given given it's live, on the radio and prob has more promo value for the upcoming album than just about anything else I can think of
Haha, yeah, didn't even notice that until I had already posted it and gotten like 300 downloads. At that point it was too late, but I still probably would've posted it anyways. Not sure why you wouldn't want this circulating especially since - like you said - it was on a streamable radio show.

Thanks for the post on twitter! Was good to meet ya in Boulder when you played the b.side, I was talking to ya about how I was from MPLS and used to be in love with M3RCK records, and you introduced me to Mr. Projectile. Lemme know if you or any of the other semi-sexual guys have plans to make it out to the midwest anytime soon. Living in MPLS for a bit here and would love to throw a show for y'all if you're gonna be in the area! Hope all is well with ya -Jeff

that's the one track i've been looking forward to the most as well. it's been used (16 seconds of it) in an adult swim short.
this one.
it hasn't got a title yet but it's coming on the album!

I cosign whoever said Interference was his best track. I always loved it but in recent months it's become something of an anthem for me.
Might sound weird but I had that song on repeat most of this week LOL.
It frightens me to think where he's gonna take electronic music next. all musicians within any genre might need to stop making tunes and re-evaluate their whole purpose in this shit when that album drops next year.
then again only time will tell.

A Decade of Flying Lotus mixed by The Gaslamp Killer
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone
as we’re approaching this new year, I felt it was time to let go of some things that have been gathering dust. Some old things, and some new things, I tried to pick out tracks that I know yall haven’t heard yet so there should be surprises around every turn.
can’t believe i’ve been making tracks for over 10 years now..That said, there’s so much to learn still.
I hope you all enjoy this mix. Thanks to the Gaslamp Killer for doing an incredible job on this.
Can’t wait for you all to hear my album ‘Cosmogramma’ coming out April 20th 2010 on Warp Records.
Enjoy
Check out Brainfeeder for a new mix of some old Fly Lo stuff done by Gaslamp Killer. He even reveals that the new album isn't going to be called A Space Opera, but 'Cosmogramma'. Here's the feed;

i never understand how people expect an artist they are a fan of to keep up with what they see them as.
i would have more respect for fly lo if he did a trad r'n'b album! who cares what sound he puts out, i'm sure it'll sound good. music should be a reflection of a persons life not a stylistic blueprint which suits the fans.

Given the development of his sound over the 10 years he has been producing, the singles he's been releasing, cuts from the new album in mixes etc., it would seem almost stupid not to expect him to have developed his pretty unique style even further for this next LP. It's hard enough as it is to really predict what's coming, as he's capable of producing lots of different stuff, but as one of the pioneers within the field of electronic music at the moment, it would seem a bit strange if he would use his energy and time on producing straight r n' b for instance, when he's capable of pushing the boundaries of music itself.
Having said that, I don't disagree with you, an artist should be free to do whatever he or she pleases, art is a personal expression - but to say you'd have more respect for Fly Lo if he just did some "trad rnb", just sounds a bit silly to me.

I can see what both of yall are saying...
he has pushed the boundaries to a point where I expect him to keep making "futuristic" shit....but the Whole Wide World EP was more a back to basics style ting-ting that I still appreciate.
when I say 'expect' I use the term loosely...because really I have no clue what to expect...

I'm glad the name of the album has changed. This is much less corny.
4/20 release date is fun except for all of the Columbine / Hitler history.
