pulsar wrote:i dont understand why they use that same sound in all their tunes? :?
maybe coz they want to establish their own sound?

why do all Vangelis/Kraftwerk/Depeche Mode/Prodigy/Aphex Twin/Pendulum/Current Value/etc tracks all "sound" the same or use the "same" sounds? heeeh

I'm proper lagging as only just heard this tune. I really like it and, if I'd never heard Dr. Sin before, I'd say it was incredible but it really doesn't stray too far from what they're already done. You can establish a sound and a style and still add variety to but they're pigeon-holing themselves a bit.

It's a shame because there production skills are bang on, I reckon. Everything in their tunes sounds really nice and crisp and nothing seems to battle for space. I find a lot of these really aggy dubstep tunes sound muddy and every sound seems to be battling for room. They seem to be falling into the same trap as Bar9 and 501. Hopefully they'll sort it out though.

Saying that, I'd still buy it if it came out. Mainly cos I don't own much Chasing Shadows and as a standalone track, its sick. Plus I haven't heard much chasing shadows played out so its not a style I've become bored with (yet).

absolutly loving chasing shadows at the min, kind of agree with the above post regarding their tracks are all of a very similar style but you will find most artists baring a few do this. But as I have only just discovered them I'm fuckin loving their style.

Has anyone heard Odyssesy by them? It's up on their myspace and it's exactly what you'd want a sluggish dark tune, but it doesn't sound like all their other tunes. :8:
definitely good.

Anyone know if/when Red gets a release?
