Buy it, show love to the people who worked hard to make that VST.

I try massive for a while, and defo a worthy vst to buy... dig it and you'll get unique sounds...
and I agree with blue 9 who bring Komplete 6 in the topic... Massive is in that bundle.. but, man, too expensive
recession too, i'll buy later
do you try the 1.1.4 update ?

got massive free with my audio kontrol 1 and its an excellent synth. the only gripes i have with it is that it is so cpu intensive (same with any other ni synth/sampler i guess) that i can only run a few instances of it at the same time. i've recently just switched to using sylenth, its just as good, if not better than massive and doesn't hog all the cpu

Very annoying how i got Traktor with my Audio Kontrol 1 and back then i wasn't interested in DJing. I managed to lose the disk, would have much preferred Massive!

i only got mine in the summer and you could get an ni synth of your choice out of massive, fm8, absynth or something else (can't remember), a free kore player and a free kore soundpack.

haven't bothered getting kore player as i'm guessing its gonna be pretty cpu intensive

Seriously, blaming it on the recession, what a joke.

Just work for 16 hours at minimum wage and you'll have enough to buy it.

If you're a warez loser, migrate over to puregrime.

I would get it. You have to be patient and figure out exactly what is effecting what. It's pretty eazy to get a thick low sound but to modulate it get's more in depth. Go to the Brutal Electro setting and look how it's set up. One Ocillator and no LFO is being used. Start there and figure it out.

Newer CPU? Which one? Curious because I always thought it to be very good on cpu. The machine has an older AM2 chip... can't remember exact model but it's a 2.4ghz dual core. I don't usually run more than 4 instances at the most that I can recall but I never felt like I was near the limit.

Agreed, I have never found it particularly CPU intensive, though it does do some odd things in Cubase 5 (like not actually appearing when opened in the first instance, you have to open a second to see the synth... Any after that pop up as they should. Solid work Steinberg  )

Is it worth getting? Definitely. A very versatile synth with loads of modulation options.

Make sure you buy it though. Cracks are piracy, and piracy damages... Well pretty much whatever it touches. If you got a track on a record label and everyone pirated it instead of buying it, you wouldn't be amused I'm sure. Same for the guys who work on these VST's etc. They put the hard work in so we can create, the least you can do is respect that in return.

well i'm on a laptop but i think the cpu is sufficient for most daws and vsts, 2.4ghz dual core and 4gb ram running xp, obviously cos its only a 32 bit os, not all 4gb of ram will be used

Ah if it's a laptop maybe it's a stepping processor. Never really used a full DAW project on a laptop though, but I can see how it might be a bit more heavy CPU wise.
