yes yes!

what a frickin night....

so good to be back in the original venue....

yeh man! too many AMAZING tunes!

these ones i remember, but i need some help to know if i just made em up tho!

DMZ opening with Mr Fingers 'can you feel it'!!!!! what a moment!!
sounded SO good on the system...i had literally said earlier in the evening that it was a shame that no techno or house ever got dropped at early doors....i mean, we had Benny Ill warming things up brilliantly with a load of classic rhythm & sound etc, but i always thought, its such a thin line between the dubby techno of rhythm & sound, and the more straight up techno of maurizio or jeff mills.....it was great to see the dmz boys opening up and showing other influences on their sound, not just the dub/reggae/jamaican stuff...great stuff...

also.....a kode9 remix of Blue Note?!!!! did i dream this?!! it was flippin ace...! ALL the stuff he dropped was STUPENDOUS... big things from kode9 in 2007 methinks...

and.... a Skream remix of Skunk Tip or another mellow Benga one?! was this 4 real?!! it was dutty if so!

ALL the 4x4 stuff! yes! i counted at least 4 things on a techo-ey 4x4 tip that rocked, and i think all the djs played something like this....been wating a long time for this....

also, all about the 12" dubs! out to Skream for re-cutting things like Earth A Run Red....it sounded frickin amazing on 45rpm plate! its great to know he is reppin that stuff for all the overseas gigs he is doin...those crowds still need to hear 'old' tunes like that...

the other new stuff that all the djs played was, as usual, just silly....this next year is going to be another incredible one....thats what its all about innit, crazy new tunes, no idea what they are, just total magical sonic moments...

AND!!! did the wotless boys really turn up like that?!!! i was kotchin behind the speakers for some time, or just down the front digging the sounds, i hardly turned round the whole night! i must've missed em!......thats what i love about dmz...its so easy to get lost in the music, no other entertainment is needed!

out to deapoh, walshy, ntype, tronman, bass clef, gatekeeper, necta selecta, infinite, plastic, charles, walshy, task, youngsta, pokes, shy, scientist, crazy, mala, loe, coki and everyone else i ranted to when a little worse for wear!

out to the few that stuck it to the end too....plastic repped HARD even when there was only a few of us left on the dancefloor....thats what dmz is
all about too....everyone just putting the effort in....

THEN, as i wandered out on to bricko hill at 6am it was time for the final part of my dmz journey....a frickin coach back to bristol in time for work at 9am....and i made it!......but thats another story!!

big up all DMZ crew for another magical night...

(and big up deapoh on his debut at the next one!!!)

So true, this is what makes DMZ so special..."jest they're propped...right lets get back to skanking to the bass". Rediculous tunes all night like always, I love the community vibes it always feels like your in a club with close friends you've yet to meet.

aaaah man thats jokes!!!

Wotless Crew are takin over! i just checked their myspace....its CLASSIC...props (of both kinds!) must be given!!

man....what a night!!

its all just sinkin in! its SO about 3rd base....i know it sounds a bit *it was better in the old days* but i am not about that....its just the personal vibe of that place, u know, u can stroll up and see the dubplates, u can sit at the back and chill....proper vibes....

maaaaaaaaan....the tuuuuunnnessss.....we have a LOT to look fwd to in the new year.....this whole 4x4 thing...

man...anyone remember the kode9 4x4 thing that got wheeled?! are u STOOOOOOPID?!!!

out to pokes for rewinding Coki's 'bloodthirst' (i think thats the one) the necessary 3 times!! it so needed it.....the whole intro and drop......man, i was jumping about 6 feet in the air when that f**ker went off!!

it is bloodthirst right? the one with what i can only describe as underwatery noises and the bassline that seems to morph in 4 dimensions at once!

aaaaah....dmz.....simply what life's about!

mos dan wrote: favourite was the uber-romantic chilled dubstep xmassy vibes tune with the female vox low in the mix, i think during mala v loefah. what was it? i've heard it out before and it was perfect last night.
yea its a mala track, Alicia Keys remix... he dropped it in Leeds n i went crazy for it, deep tune, pure feeling, i loved it last night too.

Along with DMZ's opening tunes...
As someone mentioned the Mr fingars 'can you feel it' track plus
dunno the name, old skool tip with the sweetest female vocal
"IM CRAZY BOUT YOUR LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! AHHH BABY, AHH BABY"
BIG BIG BIG

Hijak n Skeam got the place lively, really enjoyed thier set, TEARS at the end killed it, 1st time i heard it on a system. But the whole night was heavy, had the best time, got bit wasted but hey its xmas! 8)
So roll on FWD NYE! Large up the Wotless boys, so funny! Made me smile..
Large up each any everyone, those ive met and those im yet to meet, large up my dubstep massive :)

Mmmm, rammy purple, the bestest flavour.
Only went to mass dmz once and that was the 1st b`day, so only experienced mass coz 3rd got ramjam.

Night sounded heavy tho.

Hope that one day i might one day get to know you lot, by face at any rate...i don`t talk much at d`step raves, if i start up conversation i usually find myself cutting off mid sentence as i hear a killer tune coming into the mix....plus i chat bare fraff so usually wise to avoid me anyways.

Don`t look out for me in 2007.

DUBSTEP = slap and tickle, plus back scratch and massage...all at once.
