I accidentally came across a few DJ's mixing this kind of stuff at a club in Prague about a year ago, and was completely blown away. Been on the lookout for whatever the heck that was ever since, before stumbling over this stuff with Instramental a few months back. Absolutely love it.

In terms of music that's captivated me, it's only been Burial, Basic Channel/Rhythm & Sound, and the Autonomic crew. And that says a lot.

yeah exactly, i know its good music but im glad to know im not the only one who thinks that it can get pretty dull at times. i know each to their own and all that, but there are other people representing minimal drum n bass sounds which are far more interesting than the autonomic podcasts, especially loxy as someone has already said
i think this is what you mean with drum and space. This is killing it for me.

Love it, and love the 70's-80's influences as well, especially in that Autonomic Layer 8. Been rinsing that mix so long I haven't checked the newer ones yet.

Ah, man, yes! Noisia are taking drum n' bass to a completely different level, in my opinion. Was lucky enough to see them play a fantastic set back in 2007, completely blew my mind!
best thing in music at the moment for me. ASC, consequence, rockwell, icicle, dbridge and instra, finding myself feeling dnb more than anything again. first time in 5 year tho

Yes, this really. I'm the same. It sounds like the Good Looking stuff from about 10 years ago with....I dunno, the soul taken out of it?
I remain to be convinced until I hear something to the contrary.
Baron- that D Bridge bit is mint and reminds me of the stuff Klute is still doing.
Incidentally Klute's 'Property Is Theft' still gets me.
