Eh, the one thats the same chords in between the changeup bars, if you dont catch it then good on datsik... if its there, the man sees it, n has justified it before, so, thread can die now, please dont keep bumping it, it will turn into a megathread of hate, and those kill the great vibe here.braptizm wrote:ok which one bar of both songs are u talkin about.. or at what time, i still dont see it
Dont owrry bud, you start sendin me recycles, n catch it, Ill call you ou too... I only posted that here cuz I didnt know how else to get @ the guy for an explanation, haha, he is big, might make it harder to get at him, but, not why Im pickin at him... the fact that hes big like that IS probably the only reason I heard those tunes one after another and noticed it though, which deosnt say anything bad about him, I am hearing the tunes arent I?Depone wrote:Why would you openly 'call out' on someone whos inavitive and popular as datsik?
To be honest, iu know your not trying to but it does sound like a personal Jibe at him. I get the feeling that if datsik wasnt as popular as he is, you wouldn't feel as strongly about his recycling.
Yep, thats what I said... If I sent 2 versions of the same tune or two tunes with the same hook and they both got signed, if your tryin to come up like that, eh, coulda been alot worse, at least theres some serious change and not just a STRAIGHT tune bite...serox wrote: Also, he has a good excuse that sounds real. We all make multiple copies of a tune and save them as you make changes and he may have zipped them up and just sent them out to let artist/label pick which they liked.
Please dont do that too this poor Datsik, I feel so depressed when I seee the megathreads of aggy-knockin.Basic A wrote:thread can die now, please dont keep bumping it, it will turn into a megathread of hate, and those kill the great vibe here.
real shitdatsik wrote:point taken.. another thread like this came up already... im suprised you would link those 2 tracks together out of any of mine... basically i have a whole new batch of tunes that should be comin out using different syles & tempos and such, but honestly all i can say is im tryin my best.. i didn't expect to make it this far, and im happy i have... but basically im just making music that I like, now that i know it matters so much to everyone else, to the point wher they will start a thread about it... i guess ill try and switch it up.. cool? (for the record i already have switched it up, its just everyone else wont really see it until the release shedule is layed out lol) but whatever, respect for speakin ur mind!

Yeah, but see, no need to keep commentin this thread, let it die, please, megathread of hate gonna come because I wanted to have a chat with him bout a gripe. Over. No hate megathreads killin vibes, please, let this be an example of a cool guy justifying an industry related move too one of his fans, and move along.therapist wrote:Datsik is at least imaginative with what he does to the sounds even if the actual 'melodies' aren't new. I swear there's a million dubstep tunes with identical melodies and basslines, just hammer a note for a bit, maybe go up or down a 5th every so often, no intervals or anything. Anyway that's a different argument.
I don't think musically the two tunes posted sound that similar. But I don't understand how as a producer you wouldn't get bored of all your tunes following the exact same pattern, same build ups, same progressions/drops etc.
im just glad it got knocked out quick lol, so people dont have too weed through the bullshit too get to his response. figured the topic title would get it done with though, lolchristthetiger wrote:. i agree. it was a simple argument. and of course, youre going to get 3,000 different opinions. but its all good.
big upp!

... its about using the same hook bit through the same patch for two tunes, which int hard too miss there, and its completely understandable that if you send out multiple version of a tune too different labels, n your tryin to get your name up, too sign all the contracts that come your way.
Ill forgive your innocence when I havent posted a definition... which in this case, I and I think someone else already have defined it. So nope. Noones forgiving you.tylerblue wrote:Basic A wrote: Im just stuck on those hook chords, but, I guess like deadly said it was a time period move with variations, its a catchy style...

Forgive my ignorance. What is a hook?
