1. playing an instrument for a long time. (15, 16 years of my life)
2. listenining to college radio (biggest influence I'd say) which led me to get involved in college radio
3. being extremely bored and making loops on my cousin's copy of Logic

I always remember being interested in making electronic music. Remember messing about with EJay as a kid

Downloaded one of the earlier version of FL Studio (or was it just called Fruity Loops then?) and would mess about but didn't really know what I was doing so I left it. Wasn't until I got heavily into hip hop and my mates wanted beats to spit bars on that I started to have a proper look. Eventually crossed over into dubstep as it felt like I could "express" myself more within the music without needing an MC etc.

started bringing a handheld cassette recorder to school in like 4th grade, and recording stuff.
Once recorded some big controversy between some catty girls, and everyone wanted to hear it. Teacher caught wind and made me stand in the closet and over dub both sides of the 60 minute cassette. My first experience with a lowpass filter.

I don't get if this topic is about how we passed the suck stage, or how we got into music, so i'll share both:
I'll copy paste it from an interview:
It actually goes way back. I was still in kindergarten and i was taking piano lessons. My parents couldn't afford to keep paying the fee, so i stopped attending them. To be honest I think I didn't even like those lessons that much at that time. A couple of years later I saw my brother making music on fast tracker and I tried it out, but made nothing but noise on it and my attention span was still too short to dig into these stuff. Some time later, when I was 8th grade (this is actually when i met KALBR) one of my classmates showed me a program called Fruity Loops, and that's when it all started. In time making beats grew on to me. I moved from FL to Ableton Live in time. As you can see I'm still doing it.
While passing the suck stage... i'd say a lot of music making and sharing knowledge with other people. Also reading stuff on the internet!
