Still working on this one, but I am loving where it is going.
Still have my random feel like always, still need to work on some of the drums.
Not sure how to end it >_<
Warning, treble may be a bit loud for you toward the end, but it sounds sooooo great :)
+ and - feedback is lovely :)

The song itself doesnt sound very muddy atall so eq'ing seems to have gone quite well. My main issue with this track is the levels. Theres not really enough dynamic range. Keep at it :D

When you say dynamic range, do you mean like all the levels sit the volume level? oh and i know this an entry level question..but what's an excellent DAW that supports third party synths and has excellent sound features? oh, and how do I master my tracks on other DAW's?

When i say dynamic range, i mean, there should be quite diverse volumes in the track, like quiter for the intro, then the volume increases at the drop and then comes back down for a breakdown, then increases for a second drop etc. but it also relates to the different volumes of each instrument as by introducing a different part it will increase the overall volume of your track, so you have to take that into account when building a track. Not sure if that makes sense, im also very new to production so dont take my word for it. There are loads of excellent daw's that support third party synths such as, ableton live, fl studio, cubase, reaper & logic if your on mac? And for mastering tracks id reccomend reading through the production forum as im sure theres a whole thread dedicated to mastering. :)

First post on dubstep forum, been trolling for a couple months now. Big thanks to Yoni and Futures for getting my wobble game going

*THIS IS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT A WOBBLE PATTERN/COMPLETE TRACK*
Needs work..
I kno the wobbles clip during the vocal drops
I need to make the beat more interesting, just have 3 loops running
The wobbles need to be structured better, maybe make the pitch changes match the wobbles

Hopefully the mix is okay, thats about all I would say is near complete but it was done with headphones
Next posting I'll have a second wobble variation for 16 or 32 bars, better drum pattern, some musical elements and eventually rewire everything so I can fade everything nicely and lose those mute/solo clippings.

Please, some feedback... how's the wobble sound? Sub bass? My wind? Decent mix? Keep in mind those and the drum loops are all that's in here so if anyone has suggestions for an instrument part you think would sit well in the mix let me kno.

Thanks
for your first try... I dig I dig, I actually sent you a PM about the vocals, hit me back.

I like your atmospheres in this one. Try giving your kicks a bit more punch, seems like they are too far away to pick up at times. Keep up the work man.

So many different interensting parts to this track! Really feels like im gonna on some journey, but in the process some sounds get a bit muddled up and the track it self can be a bit confusing! But thats nothing a good mixdown cant fix :) nice vibes and really feeling the style

kontigobeats : I like this, i actually really like this, real nice vibes, props to you. Definately finish this :)

Bassmagnet : Dark stuff bro feeling it, i like the rise before the drop awesome. Finish it for sure.

JJisCooler : For a second track, props, wtf is eqing, was my first thought when i heard about it, i tend not to eq or compress unless needed, but this good for a second track. Mine sounded like a badger being stuffed with a fat turkey while still alive.

graftek : Sweet, i'm digging it. The pattern in the background reminded me of snatch, dont know why just sounds quite, funny gangster movieish lol

Any love for me in the feedback?
Tunes in sig, not dubstep, taking a break from it cos of awesome writers block but,
Hows my levels?
And is everything sitting ok? and do you get bored of it?
Just need to know if i should scrap it or not lol
Thanks in advance
I'm on a roll tonight chatting shit.

the cheese song was preety dope. feelin dem good vibrations mon! The song in your sig has a pretty sick intro, i really liked it. when it builds up i think you should eq the bass so it doesnt everwhelm all of the other channels and you can hear everything else more clearly.

remember, tunrning down volumes is always better then turning up. whenever the kick come in its clippin and cuttin off all of the other sounds. i agree about the ambiance, legit homie keep workin at it.

Alright.. so i took the advice and turned up the snare and layered it a tad more. layered the wobble up a tad more and switched around some frequencies aswell. this time i went around and side chained the sub so it doesnt murder the drums.. turned up things aswell to settle better in the mix. any feedback is appreciated! Safe, so it's a keeper?
I think it needs mixing up some more though, i mean people might find it a bit boring after a bit, so possibly work on a new bassline synth i dunno.
Not really any sub to it either, reckon i need this?
Also, you reckon the intro needs more music value, like strings pads something just to keep it moving an build up better?

You could also try eqing the wobbles and that to cut off anything below 100hz to bring the sub through a bit more.
Also if you're looking to make the kick more prominent add a lowcut about 70/100hz
Add some compression with a ratio on 6.1 - 8.1 with a fast attack say around 2-3.5 ms and a release somewhere around 300ms and the threshold on about -8db?
Probably wanna give it slight eqing boosts of say 3/4 db on 3-5 khz and 7-8khz.

*Edit
Btw, pretty nice so far, bit too angry for me but it seems to work quite well.
LOUD mix aswell, hurt my ears with my headphones on up fully lol

think i should tune down the high end to make it less ear piercing? :F yeah i def think you need to add at least 2 more synths in the intro to build up to the climax. make a few diff note patterns to give some variety and maybe even make a bassline just for the intro. maybe not something solid but something subtle just to kinda give the feel of what you wana make the track sound like. yeah i agree it does need a tad bit of sub but you got your kicks set up pretty good.

i had this track floating around for a bit.. i know its diff then pimpalicious just thought id throw it out there on the forums. this track is still in its baby stages and has no sub.. but its something.

Drums seem to be missin some high end, intro really caught my attention but didn't really like the frequency modulation on the drums there, also wobble was a bit out of time on the break, vocals sounds good for this track, keep at it :D
