I started djing a few months ago with ableton. Im mostly learning cause I wanted to mix in my own music at times and eventually do live performance instead of straight mixing...seems like it will be the trend in a few years

I was spinning techno (mostly older, darker, harder stuff) pretty actively until about 6-10 months ago. I was massively into it for years but kinda lost a bit of my passion for it, and in the end it got too dry for me to justify spending loads of money on new vinyl when I no longer cared that much about the latest white label from Hardwax. I'll get back into it again soon. In the meantime it's nice buying music for the sake of enjoyment, rather than collecting DJ tools for the sake of being on top of all the latest releases.
