The only Graphic Novel I have read is Watchmen, and I loved it. I am going to read V for Vendetta soon. I'd love to read some more Graphic Novels but they are so expensive and I don't have the money to buy them.
Also, Calvin and Hobbes is sick

I have read the Sandman Chronicles by Neil Gaiman, Maus, that one about the middle class Iranian family and some others that I can't remember the name of. There's also a comic about Lucifer that I quite fancy but never seem to get around to buying, mostly because I forget what it is called.
Ummm if it's the Vertigo series spin-off from Sandman, then it's called...*drum roll*....LUCIFER!

Had a love for Y: The Last Man for a while. Then I got super-broke. Why are comics so fucking expensive these days?

They are VERY dense, and the film does a lot of shortening with the original story yet still stands up as a classic. 6 volumes in all, roughly £20 each so not the cheapest of readings.
The guy who created Akira, Katsuhiro Otomo, did some other sick work like 'Domu' and 'Visitors'. Also directed some brilliant films (Akira included) such as 'Neo Tokyo' and 'Steamboy'

Exchange rate - the pound plunged against the dollar a year and a half ago. They were well cheap for a few years before that. It's now back to where it was 5-6 years ago, plus inflation. My comics bill has increased by 50%, I was shocked when I picked up my stash on Saturday

But, tbh, comics have always been a more expensive medium than novels.

Been meaning to start reading some comics for years, finally started a couple months ago. Got Alan Moore's run of Swamp Thing in hardcover, awesome stuff. Also just started Transmetropolitan and Chew. I reckon Sandman and Preacher will be next, have to see what the fuss is all about.
After that will probably hit all the other Garth Ennis stuff..Hitman, The Boys, his run on Punisher Max.
Then Scalped, then Invincible. Lots of catching up to do haha. Saw a couple people complaining about the price of comics these days. Ten bucks for a paperback collecting 5-7 issues isn't that bad.
