Thanks for typing this up.

Some good points.

I find I am a lot more creative in my thinking when I pace around the room or bounce up and down on an excercise ball (no joke haha).

I'm planning on making myself a standing desk too so I can walk away from my computer to think properly and then return to type shit up quickly. Nothing kills creativity and independent thought like staring at a screen or monitor...!

Pat :)

Unappreciative dick head in my opinion. I did say I had to sit there copying all of that out of a book for 3 hours, I find it disrespectful you even leaving that comment.
well then you are a fool in my opinion. at least i bumped your thread.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. I struggle with concentration a lot because of my working schedule and lack of sleep amongst other worries. I'll try those tips out, I would probably have never read this or thought about it enough to realise these things. So definite kudos to you for this article being posted.

One of the reasons I think concentration is worse now than say ten, twenty years ago is that kids get a choice of a lot of different activities at once, even from a very early age. Where as before you had one toy to play with or whatever.

Cheers mate. I appreciate it even if others don't and I'm sure a lot of other people will too.

Thanks for sharing and taking the time to write down.

Music itself is also a major distraction imo. It can even be an avoidance in some cases.
My thinking got much better when I stopped listening to it all day long.

Now that you mention them as cards, I actually remember reading about these somewhere before! I would love the card versions, going to have to have a look around!

You own a space hopper? Awesome! Personally, the category I most fit into of those is the 'visual' one!

I do understand why people aren't reading this to be honest, there's one thing that bothers me about long articles on DSF or wherever else, and that's opinionated statements that try and change your mind frame. I'm scared of change, I love the way I work at the moment and my system seems to work well... So I'm worried that if I had reason to change it, it would cause creative blocks etc.

But this article seemed very focused on its subject and doesn't seem to have any far-out advice that isn't backed up by plenty of research..
