Just check out the stuff most people first heard (Kode9, Digital Mystikz, Vex'd, Skream, Loafah, Benga, Distance) and just go from there. I don't like all of those musicians mentioned but I suppose it's the best place to get you started. Maybe some of the early stuff like Horsepower Productions, Zed Bias and El-B to get some grips of where the music is coming from.

Boxcutter and Kito are my favorite producers, I guess. So look up the song 'Tauhid' by Boxcutter and 'Cold' by Kito on youtube or something.

If you like Dubstep with a raggae vibe, try RSD - Good Energy [DRUNKCD001]

He is a serious producer :u:
I can never tell if people who say "leave mt eden alone" are being serious or not. anyone with even a basic understanding of production is able to see through his two dimensional, simplistic productions. loading a preset in massive and adding a kick and snare DO NOT MAKE A REMIX!!!

first dubstep cd i ever had was "The World's Heaviest Dubstep Grime and Bass Disc 1" still one of my favorite compilations to date!
from there i immersed myself in the classics, scream benga loefah mala. then it came down to searching & seeing what the bros were listening to. Jazzsteppa always does it for me. theres so much new stuff out there & its abit hit & miss... but the easiest way to find new shit is by searching the forum & see what other people reckon. im stuck on kryptic minds at the mo, but ya might enjoy abit more aggressive midrange rusko type sounds. pretend your a dj digging for new tracks, just listen to as much as ya can & dont take other peoples interests to heart... ya might have a total different taste!! chea.. good luck!

luv it :) -- Agree with the get some mixtapes, compilations.. maybe try juno, chemical, for the sound samples, just to get a idea of what sort of sound does it for you.. AggroStep or Deepstep... or a bit of everything.. Dubstep Allstars series are awesome.. but then my step son wouldn't be so interested, he would be quite happy with the ultra heavy midrange n' Borgore for the night :/ ..

So I spent some time thinking about what my favorite mixes were, and I ended up settling on these:

http://www.mediafire.com/?wmemk5twmgt
http://mishkanyc.com/bloglin/2010/01/06 ... -crookers/
http://www.mashit.com/2008/03/22/dj-mix ... nintendub/

You know when you listen to a mix and every few songs (or maybe more frequently) there'll be a song that you don't like? Well, these mixes are solid (with the exception of Nintendub, which isn't as consistent, but is nonetheless excellent). Each song is better than the last. Enjoy!
