plenty of people on speaker plans will do builds for you if you pay them just gotta find the right person!
It's very economical to buy hog scoops from insomnia, build quality is nuts!

Two 12" Eminence LAB12's
Took the first one fairly slowly over about 8 weekends getting everything set up. Taking about 3 days per box now.

We put curves in all the corners which was fun!

Why did you build 12s?

What would you lot say is the best design then?

We are gonna just make a system pretty much exactly the same as Mungo's Hi-Fi hopefully which consists of 4 18" scoops, 2 MT-102 (i think) and i am not sure what the rest is.

Would this be an easy system to build?

easy enough i guess.. You have to know your way around a table saw..

Took us 2 months of slack work ethic to get 16 bins and 8 tops done ( 3 of us). Our design is even ranker then the labs but it was easy enough to do just gota stick with it.

God damn its paid off :)

Thanks Molitor.

Would be fun to have a sound system with some friends, especially when you can dj on it yourself and you built all the parts yourself.

Most expensive part is the amps and crossovers to power them, and the labour.

Each scoop should require about 2 1/2 pieces of ply and a speaker.

I'm looking at building a small system (4x 18" Scoops, 2 x 15" Subbins for Mids and some 12"s for high end) this year.

We are using a similar system @ Dub Tub this weekend.

Yeah thats the same as what we are hoping to make. I am looking at Fane 18XB drivers to go in the scoops - http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=FANCOL18XB - any idea if these would be good and what type of amps would be required for the whole lot?
