They play a good set, was expecting dancefloor smasher after dancefloor smasher, but it was a lot more chill with some James Blake dropped in.

The bass in those tunes is the same bass Nero have used in a dozen other older tunes (this way for example).
Don't wanna discredit them, I enjoy Innocence dropping at a party just like anyone else. I'd hardly call those tunes innovating
or a change in style though.
Ye but I meant listening to the darker side of dubstep which I don't do that often :)

I can't hate on Nero. They do what they do well.
Innocence is a tune as well.

I know this is allowed in the rules of Fabric but this was before I knew.

I got the first 15 mins of my set while I was doing some b2b with a bre.

And this was how I opened with Nero..

Soundcloud

And yeah I slipped up a few times :(

I think Innocence and the Sincere remix are two tunes that could have been legendary if they didn't use a generic wobble sound. Innocence especially. It's got such a beautiful vocal, and lovely progressions..but that varying LFO rate shit really cheapened it IMO.

I saw Nero at fabric a while back and the whole set sounded quite samey - absolutely massive and gut-wrenchingly bassy but not very much variation. I thought it was a bit of a shame because if you listen to the production there is obviously a pretty good level of musical knowledge there

Like the streets remix, but that sincere remix is a travesty, plain and simple. seeing mj cole play it was a pretty low moment :(
