That happened to me at first too, and zipeg failed to unzip it... But I managed to get it unzipped with stuffit expander, so if you have stuffit, use that!

haha that's a good idea :) Unfortunately not everyone has a decent microphone... but a good idea nevertheless :)

thx fellas, please if you want to say something about my tunes there are loads of threads about them, and the official echodub loves 2 thread... Here I would like to talk about samples only if you don't mind...

I would like to see what you make of them, and as I want to do more free packs for the future some suggestions, wishes and stuff like that would be appreciated...

cheers! :t:

Wow, really great-sounding hi-res samples!! Many many thanks!! :D

Been looking for sounds like this and was getting tired of looking for quiet scenes in movies of people puttering about the house...

What kind of mic do you use and in what sort of environment did you record these sounds? In a studio / treated room or just in a quiet room at home w/ post-processing to remove background noise?

Thanks again, very generous of you... Best of luck with your work!! Will definitely give your tunes a listen!!

Just a quiet room, no special post processing involved...

Microphone is : SM Pro Audio 01 condenser mic (nothing special, but no crap)
Preamp is from a default Yamaha (EMX62) mixer and from Tascam soundcard... (again, nothing special, that's why there is a little noise involved) . So "hi res" you say? :D Well, I always thought that the sound is what you make of it, not the million dollar equipment...

the next packs will be definitly better due to the fact I'm finally moving my studio from home to another room full of equipment so I'll have some more gear to work on...

cheers

I like the idea of a household sample thread, I don't have a good mic, but does it REALLY matter? I guess some people are just picky, maybe picky isn't the right word, maybe caring is a better word, I don't know. For me if I like the sound I'll use it I could care less what the recording quality is or if there is some background noise or whatever . Maybe I'm like that because I'm not an experienced producer, but I like shit to sound sketchy and rough.

anyways, thanks for the pack, I'm dlin it now!

Yes you have a point... Recording quality is not always important, I think the most important thing is the overall atmosphere or "mood" in music... how and with what you make it happen, it's less important...

Take Burial or Flying Lotus for example... their music is absoulutely full of noises, crackles... and if you removed all the noise they have, it's not the same anymore...

Cheers for downloading the pack, hope you make some use of it...

Some guy (I think he's on this board aswell) called J-One has already used one sample from the pack and it sounds really nice... he used the keys crackling... Have a listen...

Soundcloud

Listen to his other tunes aswell, good music for sure...
