I'm about as far removed from a 'dubstepper' as you can be, long hair, hoodie, leather jacket, jeans, i look like a metal head. Plus I don't even listen to dubstep in my spare time. Tend to listen to 80s pop like Living in a Box and Men at work (yes I know that makes me gay as fuck lol) I do the same thing though jumping between d&b and dub.
That's why I like this forum though, nobody gives a shit as long as you make the effort or even if you don't you'll probs still be fairly well accepted as long as you're not a cock lol.
Also this thread is a good idea. I like lurkers, I used to be one.

The main reason I refrain from posting quite often is because I'd hate to think I'm spreading bad information, but I guess people can always correct me then I'd learn from the process so mehhhh.

I've been lurking for a couple weeks. My first attempts at producing have also been in the last month, so I don't really have anything to contribute. I've been using Fl 9 with the help of Massive a lot. I haven't posted on this forum because you guys make it pretty damn clear to hit the "search" button before asking redundant questions, so that's what I have been doing.
This forum has been extremely helpful. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so much knowledge.
And as far as producing goes: it's probably the single most addictive thing I have ever done.

Too right mate. It actually annoys me because I've got so much work I should be getting on with but my mind is always wrapped up in music production and working on the computer means I invariably end up opening my DAW.

Yeah, i'm mainly a lurker too
i post some tracks occasionally, and give some feedback now and then. But that's it. I wanna post alot of stuff in the dubs/finished tracks sections. But i don't do that as often as i would cause those threads are constantly flooded with feedbacks like 'good tune', 'i like it' etc. (ok i sometimes do that too but i try to add something more often). it's nice to hear if ppl like your tune but if you can clearly see that it is just to get those '3 feedback postcounts' i frankly don't care ...
in the other threads i just read and learn new things. This forum is a goldmine of production tips. THX for that. I don't post there because i'm not at a stage to really educate ppl atm. I hope in the future i know enough to really contribute.
But hell, HI ALL, MEET THE CODE ZERO :d
hailing from the mighty Belgium we are here to **** things up !

I lurked for a loooong time before i actually created this account, then a bit longer before i actually posted.
i still go through long peroids of not posting, mostly becuase i'm quite a boring person with not much to say or contribute...
Nah, i suppose i feel like having been on this forum for as long as i have, i should be more of an established member, but i'm not, sounds weird but yeah
perhaps i have an inferiority complex?

Yeah man I dont even like to listen to too much dubstep cause I enjoy the freedom just to do what I have in my head. I used to be pretty uptight in drum and bass buying records and getting inspired by them. Now I listen jazz, old school hip hop, some Kool Keith and the likes... even 80´s and old depech mode..
