Drums, keep em simple, make em have mad groove, but not so much they lose track, just enough they arent total repetitive shit...

Mostly it's the drums, if the drums step back, it can be the bass. But the bass has to be like a drum.

they all have key points to get ya nod
it's no one thing, it's just people getting out what is in their head as music
a repetitive drum pattern can become subconsciously background noise vs another element etc
best not to over analyze, but let it flow natural
