it would be great if someone could make/yousend it a mix of a lot of these proto-dubstep tracks or whatever, the early "dark garage" stuff mentioned in this thread. i came to dubstep thru grime (which i was attracted to b/c i love hiphop), but it ended up a perfect fit for me cuz it just distills my favorite elements of techno and dub. with that in mind, i'm interested to hear the progression from it's earlier proto-forms. being the collector that i am i've tracked down most of the Tempa catalog and while i enjoy the earlier stuff, i can say it doesn't hold a candle to most things from '05 or '06, imo. but it's always best to be a student of the game...so anyone up for throwing down a "dubstep origins" mix?
