Wait so you guys don't like Meltdown!? (you're crazy) Crux? Zealot? their Electronic Exploration mix!? That boggles the mind!
I can accept that people like different styles..but at least don't lump Broken Note with the other "filth". There is no comparison.

sounds like a shit load of compression on a thick snare sound to me, with like someone said a clap or something for the sting

Im still trying to figure out how he did it.
Sounds like a pretty standard compressed break to me? What would lead you to believe that's not just a snare with really heavy compression?
its not a snare at all. smh. its a snap and and a clap sample, just done diffrent

I always assume people who listen to this are not into music. They are the type of people if you asked what music do you like would respond with "I like everything"

Horrid stuff. s for the snare, you could pick 3 or 4 random drum hits and put them thru a bus with compressors and distortion etc etc

zzzzzzz

Im talking ab out the clap/snap only. Not the snare in the break loop

The snare is the main sound though. What's so special about the clap? It's a clap. Layered over a snare. My mom knows to layer claps over snares. Audiences everywhere have been layering their own claps over snares live for as long as the snare drum has existed.

have had this for a while on the HD, not getting much use recently...take it...

Pure_Phase_White_Snare.wav - 0.11MB

sounds especially good when layered with a heavily compressed kick...and use a transient designer/envelope for more tail or snappyness.
