waste, haha- when I was there, I kept getting told "you might as well make house, just drop the bpm a bit"

Music Tech is a simple course anyways, I didn't learn a thing - I was so bored.

Hey guys, I work as a Music Tech teacher. Some of my students DJ, listen to and produce Dubstep and obviously I've ended up getting into it! Thought I'd check out the scene see whats happening. This is my first post so I thought I'd offer a link to some free samples I found today.

MY music tech teacher is Wedge 8)

My music teachers are Brian Eno and Quincy Jones, occasionally Quincy ropes Herbie Hancock in for the odd lesson aswell.
I'm not joking

What's the file called? I'll see if I can help
MV_143_F_PINCH6COMPLOOP
Try 2 Oscillators together. One a simple sine wave (for depth) the other a sawtooth wave passing through a low pass filter. Turn the resonance up on the filter and in the filter envelope section set the attack just below 1/4 of the way up. Automate the filter using a MIDI controller. I got good results after playing with it on the Malstrom in Reason for a couple of minutes, but any dual oscillator synth should do it. If you can output oscillator (sawtooth) to a reverb unit then that will more or less - with a little tweaking of course - do the job. The sawtooth cuts though the mix better than the sine wave so either a) turn the sawtooth down, b) turn the sine wave up or c) both!

Hope this helps
