Never said Deadmau5 was the epitome of all things house but he is known by many for producing progressive house music.

Deadmau5 definitely does make progressive house.

As shite as a lot of his stuff may be, anyone who denies that he makes house is an idiot.

Probably the same dicks that only started listening to 'house' when all this crossover stuff started coming through.

The 'dubstep' producers making this crossover style stuff arent doing anything new or innovative theyre just taking influences from a genre thats been around for years. So many dweebs out there thinking that this is the new house when really its just yet another sub genre for people to slot themselves into.

I think the problem is how many tracks hes actually made, the guy has got some really good tunes out, but because he's had so many shit tunes out and prances about like a right bellend when he plays out he gets a bad rep.

Im shit with names but I've got a folder on my itunes at home with some pretty decent progressive house tunes and I know his names in there a few times, I'll check the tunes out when I get back.

I guess in the US (especially the midwest) the term 'House' distinguishes itself from progressive, fidget, electro house, blog house, etc etc. Not even remotely the same genre.
