When cyber-terrorists take down your bank and you can't get cash for food, you might wish this thing could have been used.

A more likely scenario was that large areas, including northern Europe and Britain which have “fragile” power grids, would be without power and access to electronic devices for hours, possibly even days.

Also, im pretty sure in three years the government will have taken precautions, for themselves at least. they kinda like being in control.
more on topic... i highly doubt this kill switch will go through. and if it does i dont see why he would feel the need to use it, since it would easily irritate 90% of the population that cant tweet that they just farted and so they jump on the "lets hate the guy that duz dis" bandwagon.

i believe there is definitely something to it, as it ties in with a lot of other stuff you're probably aware of
