BIG!!!
What I thought was wicked about the Grime albums was that it was easily available on CD for those that didn't buy vinyl. Somethin I could tell people to go buy when they asked me where they could get this sound from.

Some wicked suggestions on here...
I would like to see...
Distance
Pressure (Money honey is sooo good. Wanna hear more!)
Skream
I also notice mention of Atki2 and Forsaken. Two top quality Bristol based producers both with quite unique takes on the sound imo. I'm gonna be cheeky here with a little plug actually... both these guys plus Distance are booked to play Ruffnek Diskotek on Dec 15th at T2 in Bristol. Sorry, I don't know if that's bad forum etiquette or not, not meant to be! Just thought some folks on here might be interested

Uhh, don't want to be pedantic but it was Justin Broadrick that was in Godflesh. He was in Techno Animal with Kevin Martin, so the confusion is really understandable.
But Kevin was never in Godflesh to my knowledge.

Agreed!
I think Second II None and Skinnz should get some love as well.

Boxcutter is wicked, but he's gonna be doing some stuff with Planet Mu soon. More info on that when it arrives.
Atki2 should have some more releases on Shadetek soon.
As for Forsaken....early days yet. Bristol vibes comin strong, innit...

surprised to see this guy mentioned! Loved his track on the last Shadetek 12" but i can't see how he fits into dubstep myself. I play that tune in my sets but always thought of it as an intentional red herring

Kevin was in God, though (i think) just to confuse matters further
I think it should be a grime one this time if it happens.. (dubstep labels are making waves on their own now)
Wonder
PJam
DaVinche
Wizzbit
are my nominations
Hopefully reflex wont do another " lets cram everything on two vinyls and make it completely un-playout-able" like the shabby part 2, a gross misrepresentation of the artists involved

alright unlikely, was wondering when you'd show ya face

Its me, Alex
i didnt think part 2 was that bad! definetly not cream of the crop for any of them but i really like Bombay Squad and Ping so that kind of makes up for it.
But yeah, bring a Grime one. I think Davinche is doing ok on his own (bout to release Dirty Canvas the album, pt 3 is sick as well). But yeah like i keep saying - Wonder! Wizzbit!

Sooty man, too many people in this house using one computer
djgyn wrote:Based on a fantastic dub I just heard on the latest Gutterbreaks mp3, I'd want Forsaken as one of the featured producers.
aww cheers man

But honestly my stuff isn't as good as those other people, a few more years and I'll get there though

Hello Alex!
it was the vinyl mastering on 2 that brought it down in my opinion, similair thing with the mark one album
Dirty Canvas 3 is sick! good to see DaVinche try his hand at the dubbier sound (phaze)
