That isn't what I was hinting at. It is the mindset I often fall into when i finish tunes that I should protect them and send them out to labels because that is the way it 'should' be done (because it was that way when I started producing). However I only really make music for the fun of making it and in the hope that someone else will like it too. I don't want to make money from it at all. I make a very nice living doing what I do and I can afford all the music gear I want without having to see a return on any tunes, so I actually have no reason to sell stuff I write.Recessive Trait wrote: he's hinting that he's making music for the money and fame.

yea so our band is totally anti-commmerical, we're not in it for the money
we don't play gigs because that's too mainstream
we don't sell T-shirts cuz that's too corporate
we don't practice because that's too predicatible
