This...this is what I tend to rely on. If that fails I attempt half heartedly by ear, then sometimes just give up and use a different sample.symmetricalsounds wrote:gtune

With Gtune just remember to wiggle the frequency knob around, dunno if it actually does anything, but sometimes gives you a note haah
Else get a mate round who can tell you what note it is just by listening(I want this skill!!)
