People in L.A. should check the "Island Groove" class at Evolution dance studio. Its the only Soca class in LA and the only Dancehall class in LA. the teacher is HILARIOUS. There are dances and party games that go with every track.

Gwaan people.

cheesy as anything but i really like Shurwayne Winchester: Dont Stop , good soca chutney business (fusion of indian sound pallets and rhythms with soca).

Honest Jon's put out a compilation called Lif Up Yah Leg An Trample which is definitely definitely worth checking out, lots of rowdy stuff on there, the title track (by the awesomely named Dawg E Slaughter) is killer as is the first track, a rhythm by Laventile Rhythm Section (absolutely messy and hypnotic) and Bumpa catch a Fire by Timmy; Boba and Agony's Soca Taliban is quality as well.

Demarco's She Cant Wait (the best version on the Stress free riddim http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxYDh1BlmZw) is sick as well.

Hope this helps.
