@ dubplateguy - Hey man so I went back and listened to your track again. Sorry my critiques can be a little harsh but I am just trying to push people to their best instead of stroking their ego's. What I meant with too much bass is that your (midrange)bass noises are overpowering your drums to the point where it can be a little hard to hear them in the mix, nothing to do with the sub. As is though. hihats are probably fine As far as the rest of my comments goes I would like to rephrase my statement about the song getting boring in parts. Sure you do have a lot of switch ups but I think that it would be beneficial to put some space/rest in your beats as the constant noise is a little tiring and loses momentum. This is just my opinion though so take it as you will.

@The Breadman - I liked the bit minus the percussion. It was very head nod inticing. But I don't think the glitched up percussion fitted in too well. I think a bit too much glitch for dubstep. Then the drop was superb. The wobble was nice. Gonna follow you on sc

@drummerpig - Yeah the intro is nice and dark, some nice old skool dubstep vibes. I think maybe you should forget about the wobble. Drop that style of dubstep, it's too hard to make in garageband. I know, I use it. Check out Skream's first album, try and make something similar to that, the intro to that would fit so much better to some old style dubstep

@dubplateguy - I love the chiptune inspired intro that does it for. Yeah like you said some sub is need to drive it through. Liking it so far though.

@lorbid - you're track would not load

@Psythe - It needs an intro. The synth was a bit to overpowering, but maybe that's just me?

Okay here's mine. I need some help, is the sub powerful enough, or too poweful?

@4Trak - On my speakers the subbass sounds really good - warm, and not enough to stifle the mix. The fade out at 0:32 is a little too sudden I think. Perhaps if you had some delay on the drums just before they go away, with high feedback, and you faded it more slowly that bit would work a little more. Then, I'm really fussy about the little details in tracks, so it's probably fine. Give it a go though.

This is a song I started yesterday. It's a jazzy dubstep track in 7/4. Let me know what you think.

@jakedubber: The drum pattern was a little "awkward" for me but then I'm used to snare on the 3rd etc. Nice track otherwise.

@4trAk: Digging that, nice vibes but as jakedubber said the fade coudl do with delay on the last snare to carry the track along...and then drop it. It's a technique I've always used.

- Jemgrover: fat stuff, bit repetitve to have it going for 2 minutes , switch things up abit, add a bass / drumbreak etc.

- lordbird: nice man, fat drums with a sub that gives my headphones some nice tremble :!: im just missing some kind of melody, doesn't have to be much, delayed soft keys , to set a nice mood. the yoyo bass you bring in is maybe a bit unnecessary, but i like how it flows. Maybe add the actual bass sound but keep the arrangement?

@Jaydot - Thanks for the feedback. It's really hard to make a drum pattern in 7/4 that isn't awkward. Also the snare is on 3 :). I think your track needs a bit more variation. The bass sound goes all over the place and varies a lot - which I love - but it needs change from that too. Little drop outs like in Roll Out always sound nice. You could also try hocketing - make three copies of your main bass sound, pan one 35L and the other 35R, keeping the original where it was (or whatever sounds nice to you - you could change the filter frequency on your sounds rather than panning, or both. You get the idea.) and flip between them for a nice flourish. Producers like Tomba and Diesel do that a lot (I think). Hope that helps.
