See this is why I wish Sadowitz wasnt such a tnuc and let people put up youtube videos of him... That man must have dealt with some serious heckling.

It's fake btw. The heckler is a little known for something else, cant remember what though.

at work so can't find a clip; Some friends of mine recently made a documentary about Malcom hardee, the guy that owned the Tunnel club which was the springboard for almost all the great alt comedians of the 80s.
There are some amazing clips and anecdotes about the place, notable mainly because of the crowd of pro heckler wiseass assassins that wouldn't let half the acts start before utterly destroying them.
Jim Tavare once walked out and used the opening line "Hello, I am schizophrenic" that was immediatley met with "well you can both fuck off then"..
Check facebook/whatnot for the film (The Tunnel) it's a great shortdoc with some amazing footage of big acts starting out and some A-Class heckling .. it might be expanded to a feature length film if it gets enough support..

I couldn't trust myself on my wits alone to deal with hecklers if I were a comedian.

To be fair judging by some of these videos, shouting FUCK YOU tnuc, goes down a treat.

then you probably couldn't deal with being a comic. i'm sure it's a big part of the job. there are plenty of hacky responses though, e.g. "I don't come to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth."

For whoever asked, lots of them are planted in the audience just the make the shows interesting and work as jokes in themselves. It's pretty common. Galifianakis does some of the best ones these days, and his angry outbursts are great. Every time I've seen him he's thrown random crazy little tantrums where he acts very snobbish and full of himself, then just goes on like nothing happened - funny stuff.

i really don't know how common it is to plant hecklers in the audience. maybe Zach does but most comics I know don't. the Brendon Burns one is obviously part of the show. seems like a hack move though, and most comics don't travel with professional hecklers.
