How is this not a 35 hour week??
cos it's an err..40 hr week

Think he might mean that most people get a 1 hour lunch break each day so you only actually work for 35.

I am sorry but I really don't get how they're racist

They're the "United Kingdom Independence Party" which if you haven't noticed therefore involves quite a lot of different 'races' in their policies.
What, may I ask, is your political stance then?
(The French also have a lower maximum working limit than the EU standard of 48 hours. The UK adheres to this but offers the option to opt out through personal choice instead of imposing limits with authoritarian power, not that it would be good to always work that much but we understand we have the capability of making our own decisions on our lives)

Take a look at the EDL forums and see what kind of crowd they attract and UKIP for matter, they're cloak and dagger racists. "I don't mind immigrants I just don't want them around here" kind of thing..... my political stance? Well I have been called red n black, a trot, socialist and a commie. I am not any of those, I just borrow the ideas I like but if a gun was put to my head I'd have to say a socialist with heavy anarchist and socialist influence
*shrug*

Hmm okay I get you I probably walk those lines myself I just support UKIP as otherwise not enough gets done to stop the futhering of the plan for an EU super-state with an unelected dictatorship that involves the subjugation of UK citizens - how does that stand to your anarchy and socialism? I've just been volunteering at the socialist organisation Emmaus actually, it's for homeless or otherwise needy people and is extremely successful in France; hopefully the structure of the organisation will be replicated to other charities to make them more self-sufficient
You also might not realise that the UK is the most densely populated country in Europe, extremely low in food self-sufficiency and has possibly 1,000,000 residents unaccounted for from illegal immigration, the more people that live here the worse the standard of living becomes. I think the rest of the eurozone could do a lot more in taking a larger share of migrants but they don't want to so please convince them otherwise, they are also a lot harsher on illegal immigrants (well, they don't provide services in every known language on the planet for them and thereby requiring them to know the local language) and don't give them such stupidly large benefit payments! The UK is also a lot more lenient on immigration from commonwealth countries (including Trinidad and Tobago) than those countries are the other way round

Unfortunately the EU is very effective in maintaining neoliberal hegemony in the Eurozone but it would seem that the political right is alone in opposing our relationship to Europe. I hear that Perry Anderson makes a good analysis of the EU from a broadly 'left' perspective in one of his recent books. The potential for a pan-European community of sorts is huge, it is a shame if unsurprising that it should have taken the form it exists in today.
As far as UKIP is concerned, they seem more like a single issue pressure group than a political party and no doubt their right wing populism appeals to the more xenophobic and racist amongst us, but that is not to say that an ambivalence towards the EU is racist in itself, the glove just 'fits' with UKIP even if it isn't strictly fair.

Any political organization with an unelected leader, and board of leaders really isn't good(IE Herman Van Rompuy). I agree though UKIP policies are a bit too right wing for comfort at times and their ranks are a breeding ground for racism. Remember though, separatism isn't racism in itself.

America's owned and run by private corporations, including a French bank interestingly so the EU is highly likely to be part of this

UKIP leader Lord Pearson's resigned to devote time to 'the threat of Islamism & the relationship between good & evil'.
Beats lying on the sofa watching Jeremy Kyle and wanking into a pot noodle.

UKIP = posh racists
after lots of reading it has seemed to me that the BNP is more a money laundering operation than anything else, so them going bankrupt would make sense really.
